42-year-old Billy Jason Carson is in police custody after barreling his Toyota 4-Runner through the crowd at a Trace Adkins concert at the Trails End Campground in Huntsville, Tennessee Saturday (5-23) night. Billy Carson was a food vendor at the event. One individual, 52-year-old Tony Farrell of North Vernon, Indiana, was pronounced dead Sunday morning at the Scott County Hospital. Two other victims were airlifted from the scene, and another was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The victim Tony Farrell owned a trucking company and was a monster truck driver. According to witnesses, Farrell tried to help stop the SUV after it was dragging an individual around the concert grounds. He was then run over by the 4-Runner. Tony Farrell’s son was also one of the injured.

Trouble began when the heavily-intoxicated Carson started a fight in the concert area. He then left the area, and returned in his SUV, brandishing a revolver, and threatening to kill people. According to witnesses, he was trying to run people over in the concert area where approximately 50 people were still assembled after the concert. Carson’s rampage eventually ended when another individual in a Jeep rammed the 4-Runner.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 11 p.m., and arrested Carson. He has been charged with Homicide and Felony Reckless Endangerment. His bond is set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday (5-27).

Trace Adkins has not yet acknowledged the incident. The concert was a “Full Throttle” event promoted by Live Nation.
