Hank III Heads East w/ Lucky Tubb

Lucky Tubb According to Hank3.com, III is going to be hitting the road on an east coast leg sometime around mid-June, and opening will be the greatness of Lucky Tubb. According to Lucky’s MyWaste the tour is going to start on June 16th in Kentucky, but I’d caution on believing any dates until they are posted on hank3.com’s tour section.

Lucky Tubb is the real deal folks. I first heard about him through Big G’s Texas Roadshow. (Big G was also the first one to get a sniff of this tour pairing.) Lucky is from Austin, TX, and no, that name was not fabricated by a marketing team in Nashville, he comes from a long lineage of country music performers, including his great uncle Earnest Tubb.

Lucky’s also got a TOP NOTCH band, “The Modern Day Troubadours” that includes Telecaster, pedal steel, doghouse bass, and a female fiddle player. Here they are in action:

Lucky also has a couple of albums out, Generations from 2003, and the recently released Damn the Luck. There’s more info on the albums and a great bio of lucky on lonestarmusic.com.
