Hank III To Play at Hall of Fame

Hank IIIAccording to the Country Music Hall of Fame Website, Hank III will be performing there on Oct. 10th at 1:30 PM. Admission is free, or is included in the admission to the Hall.

Here is the official info:

“Hank Williams III, like his father, blends the honky-tonk and country blues of his grandfather with the rock & roll he favors from his own generation. He applies his hard-charging musical arrangements to swaggering, bluntly personal tunes that probe relationships, southern culture, and his distinctly individual view of the world-just like his daddy and granddaddy did.

“Presented as part of the ongoing exhibition Family Tradition: The Williams Family Legacy, Co-Presented by SunTrust and Ford Motor Company. THIS PROGRAM MAY CONTAIN MATURE CONTENT. Limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.”

I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again: The Country Music Hall of Fame is one of the last and one of the greatest Nashville institutions that has truly weathered the storm and stayed true to the traditions and to honoring the legacy of REAL country music. Hank III is completely black balled in many Nashville circles, but here again the Hall proves that it can rise above the politics and pedantics of Music City, and strictly focus on the music.
