Holly Williams Signs Reinstate Hank Petition
Holly Williams, daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and half sister of Hank Williams III, signed the petition to Reinstate Hank Williams into the Grand Ole Opry after a show in Paradiso, Amsterdam earlier this week. After playing a set that included the Hank Sr. songs “I Saw The Light” and “I’m so Lonesome I Could Cry,” Holly was approached by Reinstate Hank lieutenant Restless in Amsterdam who asked her to sign. Holly’s new husband and backing musician Chris Coleman signed as well.
Though not a big commercial success, Holly’s latest album Here With Me has had some critical acclaim, with The Boot naming it the #3 album of 2009, and The 9513.com calling it the #96 album of the decade.
Aside from Hank III who began the movement to Reinstate Hank, Holly is the only other direct blood relation to Hank Sr. to sign the petition. Hank Jr. has not signed, but recently after appearing at The Opry on January 8th, Hank Jr. sent Hank III a text message saying “I’m done with the Opry.” Hank III had been pleading with his father not to make the appearance to protest The Opry’s stance on not reinstating Hank Sr. Holly performed at The Opry on January 8th as well.

Hank III has asked people to sign both petitions, but esp. the physical ones because they are the ones he will turn into the Opry.

Guess this is how we’re persuaded to visit the website .. Links of tyranny .. lol. So Holly signs again .. family loyalty is an important thing, if not the most important. and to think I sgned the petition a couple times but was too damn wasted to sign the book when the opportunity presented itself.

Glad you followed the tyrannous and treacherous links to here David.
I never found Holly Williams particularly attractive. But man, isn’t she HOT in that pic signing the petition? Who’s with me?

Shelton’s mom Gwen signed the same book that he wrote a page in his own blood. I got a pic of that page when we were at the Metal Farm Magazine Release Party that featured REINSTATE HANK.
BIG KUDOS TO RESTLESS….WAY TO GO GIRL.

Bout’ goddamn time now we just need Hank Jr to join forces and that comment there “Hank Jr. sent Hank III a text message saying “I”™m done with the Opry.” was music to my ear’s so maybe now he will sign the fuckin’ petition and stop playing that mainstream shit he play’s now and go back to the good ole day’s and tell kid rock to fuck off. Good on holly, Even though she’s that pop country shit good on her for signing that.

Thank you for this blog, Triggerman!
I already thought Holly could have signed the petition before, still it gave me a special feeling and I am glad I asked her to sign. She didn’t tell me she signed before though. So I really had no idea. She didn’t have cd’s with her, but she signed a black & white picture for my daughter Sindey as well. The show at the Paradiso did not give me the feeling she turned over to pop country completely. It was nothing like Hank III would do, but it if you think of it as a singer/songwriter’s evening it was a good show.

If she was doing it for the right reasons she would have found someone with a copy and signed it long ago. In mainstream country there are few outlaws anymore and even fewer heros.
Hank Sr. was the man and always will be. And fuck the rest!!!

I can’t understand why Hank Jr. has taken so long to get behind this movement. His daddy is one of the biggest influences in all of music, not just country. I have the upmost respect for Hank3 for getting behind this and standing up for his family’s legacy. I saw him in concert in 2011 in Charlotte, NC and his was outstanding. He blew me away!! I’m a huge fan of all three Hanks and I hope Bocephus will get behing this .
