Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit are readying the release of his latest record The Nashville Sound on June 16th, and his live calendar has just been bolstered with a bunch of new tour dates in support of the new album. Adding to dates previously released on the East Coast, Upper Midwest, and through the South and Texas in June and July, dates have been added in August and September on the West Coast and through the Midwest. Isbell will also tour Europe in October and November. Amanda Shires and Frank Turner support the new tour dates.

The Nashville Sound is produced by long-time collaborator Dave Cobb, and is being released by Thirty Tigers via Isbell’s own Southeastern Records. Isbell’s new record is highly-anticipated by many country and Americana fans. His last album Something More Than Free won multiple Grammy Awards, and his 2013 record Southeastern cemented him as one of the premier songwriters in Americana.

Two songs from The Nashville Sound have been released so far: the timely “Hope The High Road,” and the hard-edged “Cumberland Gap.” Along with these songs, Isbell has let fans know the new material will be a bit more rocking and electric than his previous two records.
