Jason Isbell Announces New Dates for Winter Tour

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit just started an incredible six-night sold out stint at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Monday (10-9), and after a tour in Europe this fall, Isbell & Co. will be hitting the road yet again as part of an extended winter tour stretching into 2018, with brand new dates just added. Isbell is pushing hard behind the release of his recent album The Nashville Sound, which has inexplicably found him nominated for the 2017 CMA Awards for Album of the Year, and a very likely candidate for Grammy nominations as 2018 approaches.

The new dates are mostly through the South, the Midwest, Texas and the East Coast, but Isbell will be playing the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California in April, so don’t be surprised to see some West Coast and interior West dates accompany that junket in the future.

Opening the dates for Isbell in Europe will be songwriter Tift Merrit, with James McMurtry signing up as the opener on the new winter tour dates. And if you are unable to make it to a date near you, Isbell’s Friday, October 13th show from the Ryman Auditorium will be broadcast to the masses via a live feed on his Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages. The webcast will start at roughly 9:15 CDT.

Recently Jason Isbell had to reschedule some dates after a death in the family of his bass player Jimbo Hart.
