Jason Isbell is on a roll if there ever was one, and he’s not planning to slow down anytime soon, at least not after he takes some well-appointed time off in September to spend with his newborn daughter. After that, it’s back on the road hard and heavy, including four sold out shows at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, sold out shows in Huntsville, Memphis, Bloomington, and Charleston, and more likely to go sold out soon. But luckily, Isbell just released a slew of new dates, including a two-night stint at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, and select dates in the UK and Europe.

Joining Isbell on tour will by Lydia Loveless, Elizabeth Cook, Sturgill Simpson, Brandy Clark, Ryland Baxter, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Cory Branan, Shovels & Rope, and others.

Meanwhile his July 17th release Something More Than Free continues with strong sales after its #1 debut on Billboard‘s Country, Rock, and Folk charts with sales of 46,000 copies, just inching out Alan Jackson for the #1 spot. Since the debut, sales have over doubled the original number, compiling over 94,000 records sold to date—a formidable stat in this streaming day and age. Something More Than Free remains at #18 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart more than two months after its release.

Isbell has also just released a behind-the-scenes video of him working on the title track of the album with producer Dave Cobb.

Better nab your tickets if Isbell’s coming to your area, because it’s likely the shows will sell out sooner than later.
