NFL’s J.J. Watt Tackles Stage Crasher at Zac Brown Band Show
Training camps for the 2015 NFL season haven’t even commenced yet, and one of the NFL’s star defensive tackles has already recorded his first sack . . . that is unless you take a second look on instant replay and want to throw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Houston Texans defensive superstar J.J. Watt was in attendance for the Zac Brown Band portion of Summer Fest at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee on Sunday (6-28), and apparently decided to pull a little side duty in the security detail. Just as Zac Brown Band was finishing up what sounds to be a version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Under The Bridge,” a crazy ass fan wearing an Alabama football T-shirt jumps out of the crowd and starts dancing on the stage. Mere seconds later, J.J. Watt materializes and lays the crazed fan flat on his back in one swift football move.
Of note: J.J.’s Alma Mater is Wisconsin (remember, this happened in Milwaukee), and Wisconsin is scheduled to play Alabama for the first game of the college season. And that’s not the only piece of evidence that the event was probably staged. The way J.J. stands over the perpetrator and slowly puts on his shades, and how the actual security doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry to clean up the mess, likely means the whole thing was choreographed for the local crowd.
Whether anyone farther than the first few rows could tell it was J.J. Watt serving the justice, or that Mr. Antsy Pants was proclaiming his love for Alabama football is doubtful, but it does make for an entertaining (and bruising) 30-second intersection of the music and sports worlds.

I know this is probably staged but who hasn’t wanted to do this to someone at a concert at some point?

Remember there isn’t a SEC bias in college football, other accepted answers would Duke or Kentucky.

I say this as an Alabama fan, with a family member on the coaching staff – that was awesome. If it wasn’t staged, I’m happy to see any idiot rushing the stage get taken down. If it was staged, I love the enthusiasm folks have for College Football. Either way, the entire thing makes for good entertainment!

I hope it was Jason Aldean he bowled over.

Agreed. I’d be equally amused if he’d done the same to Zac Brown.I think he’s a “countrified” Dave Matthews…a novice musician surrounded by world class pickers to make him sound good. Brown calling out Luke Bryan was pot/kettle, he writes the same inane pablum that incites the dummies to raise their Smirnoff Bahama Beach Sexy Sunsets in the air.

I can’t disagree with your assessment of the Dave Matthews Band, but Zac Brown is anything but a novice. (YouTube is your friend)

Trigger,
I’d recommend reviewing the new Easton Corbin album. I’d like to hear your opinion.
Some great songs on it.

On a side note completely off topic. I wondered on to this website via Instagram I believe and just want to give Trigger and the other writers on here that I thoroughly enjoy reading everything that’s posted. Fans of Country/folk/western music or whatever label you want to give it and love the traditional sound and would like more substance in today’s music need to know about this site. I would not have known about half of these new artists who get little recognition but sound astronomically better than computer generated fart noises about some frat dude’s take on “country life.” Today’s country radio does nothing to push the boundaries of what is country like the late great Mr. Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson, Kristofferson, Shaver, etc. And they absolutely destroy country’s more traditional sound such as Jones, Haggard, Pride, etc.
Anyways, I just wanted to air my opinion and sing Yal’s praises a little bit and to say keep up the outstanding work.
Now back to sports center and the top ten plays of the week.

Glad you found the site Jordan. Don’t do much on Instagram these days but it’s good to know folks are finding it. Thanks for the Kudos!

J.J. is a defensive end, not a defensive tackle
