Welcome ladies and gentlemen as we join together as disenfranchised music fans to commiserate, contemplate, and at times downright mock the spectacle that will transpire in front of our very eyes at the 57th Grammy Awards, while not completely dismissing the idea of giving credit when something of merit occurs, or recognizing someone worthy of recognition when they actually get recognized.
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the ANTI “American Country Countdown Awards” LIVE blog. Yes, it’s yet another country music awards show, replacing the three abysmal years of the now defunct “American Country Awards.” As much as all of country music’s awards shows are ridiculous on some level, the ACCA’s add an additional layer of obvious pandering to sponsors…
Here we go folks, our annual gathering of old souls and independent-minded country fans to collectively commiserate and contemplate what the hell has happened to our fair genre known as country music as the pomp and circumstance of the CMA Awards transpires right before our shocked and disgruntled eyes. So get your refresh fingers ready.
Dearly beloved, welcome to the gathering of old souls and independent-minded country fans on the occasion of the ACM Awards to collectively commiserate and contemplate what the hell has happened to our fair genre known as country music as the pomp and circumstance of the ACM Awards transpire right before our shocked and disgruntled eyes.
Nothing that transpires tonight will matter in the grand scheme, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t point and laugh, give our observations, or completely discount and event that will be seen by millions. It is a completely fabricated awards show construed by FOX. They’re is jealous the other networks get the CMA’s and the ACM’s, and so they made up their own. Even worse, these awards are fan voted.
Since tonight’s festivities will not be televised, we’re going to try to do our best to make folks that could not be in attendance for this historic event feel a part of it by providing a place to listen along, share thoughts, and hopefully post pictures as they come in from attendees. The event is being broadcast by WSM, and is transpiring at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to a sold out crowd.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the LIVE blog for the 2013 broadcast of CMA’s Fan Fest, dubbed over the last few years as “Country’s Night to Rock.” Since our live blogs for mainstream country’s big awards shows have been so successful over the years, and because we had many requests to also create a platform for commiseration, it was decided we’ll give it a shot for this event too.
Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, CMA Fan Fest, Country's Night to Rock, Darius Rucker, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Jason Mraz, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Kelly Clarkson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Lenny Kravitz, Live Blog, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw
So normally we wouldn’t grace such a lowly presentation like the CMT Awards with our valuable attention. But the chatter over the last few weeks about what is set to transpire on the show hints of historic genre bending and cross-format collaborations that surely will be ripe for perspective, criticism, and roasting.
As the night proceeds we will leave our ACM observations from the broadcast in a timeline below, so get you refresh finger stretched and ready to go. You are strongly encouraged to participate by leaving your observations in the comments section below. Feel free to watch along, or if you can’t stand the awards, then turn on some real country music and follow the awards vicariously through us!
So here we go once again folks! To attempt to alleviate some of the anger, disgust, dejection, and frustration with the current state of music, we join here to report, commiserate, and poke fun of The Grammy Awards, the participants, the winners, and the performers, and pontificate on their impact. The way this works is this page will be updated regularly as the telecast transpires, so get your mouse finger ready to hit refresh often.
Alright folks, so here we go! If you’ve never done this before, this is an exercise for old souls to find solace in humor from the ridiculousness that is a country music awards show.
