Videos from Hank III, Bob Wayne, Rachel Brooke & Luckenbach

You may or may have not noticed I haven’t been around much in the past couple of weeks. Thanks for all the emails of concern {actually, I receive not a one 🙁 } but no, the flying monkeys that Curb Records dispatched to silence me did not find my hideout, and Nashville’s lawyers still haven’t figured out how to shut my servers down. I’ve just been busy traveling around, I may fill you in on what has been going on in a few days. But I thought I would catch up with a few videos that have surfaced recently.

The first comes from the greatness of Luckenbach, TX where they just broke the Guinness Book record for the largest guitar pull. 1,859 guitar players all played the Waylon Jennings hit “Luckenbach, TX” simultaneously to break the record held by a group of Germans:

Hank III is on the other side of the pond at the moment (a post with reviews, videos, pics coming), but on his recent East Coast junket he trotted out the old bluegrass traditional “John Henry” in Raleigh, NC, and luckily JethroNC was there to record it, with great audio and video quality. Never seen or heard of him playing this tune before:

Also from North Carolina, Bob Wayne recently penned a new tune that was inspired by none other than Saving Country Music.com lieutenant Mr. Bandana. Unfortunately the video quality isn’t great and I can’t pick up all the words, but hopefully we will see this tune on the next Bob Wayne album!

And last but certainly not least, in HD quality, how about Rachel Brooke proving that once again, she is the closest thing to a female reincarnation of Hank Williams this world has ever seen:

Thanks to Misfit Radio for that. Goodness, it is about unbearable how much pain Rachel emotes in her voice, and how she holds the rhythm in her hips.

I think I need a cold shower now.
