Willie Nelson had fans worried when he canceled shows at the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas on January 27th and 28th due to an undisclosed illness, and now he’s canceled three more. Ticket holders for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night shows (2-6 thru 2-8) at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California this week were notified that all three shows were canceled on Monday afternoon, once again due to an undisclosed illness. All three shows were sold out.

Jerry Hufford of The Crystal Palace says that the dates are expected to be rescheduled, and that refunds will also be available beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the point of purchase.

Willie Nelson did make a public appearance at a Las Vegas guitar shop on January 31st to promote his cannabis line, and played scheduled shows at The Venetian in Las Vegas on February 1st, 3rd, and 4th, so he had been feeling better. But the undisclosed illness has sidelined him again. Willie also canceled a couple of shows in November due to undisclosed health concerns.

Any time health news comes down for an 83-year-old performer, concern goes up, even for Willie Nelson who has been health conscious for most of the second half of his life. In October of 2015 Willie Nelson had stem cell surgery on his lungs to help with continued breathing concerns.

Last week, Willie Nelson announced his latest record, and his first record of original material in three years called God’s Problem Child to be released on on April 28th, the day before Willie turns 84.

Willie’s next scheduled shows are at the Desert Diamond Casino in Sahuarita, AZ on February 10th, and the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, NM on February 11th. He’s scheduled to play the San Antonio Rodeo on February 16th.
