Alan Jackson Updates 2020 Tour, Adds Drive-In Shows
UPDATE: The dates for the drive-in shows are now June 12th (Cullman, Alabama) and June 13th (Fairhope, Alabama) due to an impending tropical storm.
Alan Jackson is one of the few arena acts left in country music that hasn’t fully cancelled his 2020 tour plans just yet, but he has rescheduled numerous dates due to COVID-19, and just added two unique drive-in shows to give fans an opportunity to see him while restrictions remain in place.
On June 12th in Cullman, Alabama at York Farms, and on June 13th in Fairhope, Alabama at the Oak Hollow Farm, Alan Jackson will stage drive-in shows following all CDC and Alabama State Health guidelines. Each show will facilitate about 2,000 vehicles. A portion of proceeds from the events will go to local food banks. The events will be opened by the Cory Farley Band who regularly plays at Jackson’s AJ’s Good Time Bar—one of numerous venues damaged in the recent Lower Broadway riots.
Alan Jackson joins numerous other performers staging drive-in shows as a way to keep fans entertained and help local communities suffering due to closures caused by COVID-19.
Jackson was able to get six shows in earlier in 2020 before postponements became an issue. The show in Tulsa, OK originally scheduled for March 26th has now been moved to June 25th, and is his first official full concert back at the moment. But don’t be surprised if certain dates get moved again due to lingering Coronavirus concerns.
Find all of Alan Jackson’s current 2020 tour dates below, including his rescheduled appearance at the Stagecoach Festival in California on October 25th.

A few years back Jimmy Buffett did a literal drive in show at a drive in theater in Fort Worth, Texas that was simulcast live to other drive in theaters with the technology to do so to encourage the resurgence of drive in theaters. Who knew in a few years drive in concerts maybe the future of concerts at least on a large scale. God Bless Alan Jackson for trying to do what he can to entertain folks during this time. Let’s hope and pray for peace and health in our great nation.

I think this is how movies and concerts will be held over the next year. with so many people refusing to follow stay at home orders. the coronavirus is not going away anytime soon. So this maybe the venue many people will take. Me, I am staying home with my family and being safe. people can talk about freedom all they want, but freedom is no good to you, if you DIE from this virus. New Zeland and Taiwan have the virus contained. Why? because they followed lock down rules. America has the highest death rate and highest number of cases of the virus. If America would do rhis. then we could contain the virus. and then if we practiced social distancing, Then maybe we could see alan jackson somewhere else besides a drive in.

America does not have the highest Covid death rate. Not even close. England’s rate is almost twice as high. The U.S. is the third most populated country so of course it has more total cases but the death rate is not the highest.

Unfortunately, he won’t be at Country Concert, they did away with it this year due to Covid. They’re trying to get him back for next year, but haven’t received confirmation yet.

Well both Alan Jackson and Country Concert need to update their websites. I clicked through each date just to confirm all the info, and they’re still selling tickets for 2020. Am seeing the reports though that it’s been postponed to 2021.
Thanks for the heads up.

Like you Trigger I’m confused about whats going ahead and what isn’t.. As you say the websites are still selling tickets.. I’ve heard that some dates are not happening and will be rescheduled. .
Does anyone know .I’m from the UK. and have tickets for Alan Jackson’s concert in Nashville, but up til now, we can’t get a visa, due to the Covid-19 …I don’t know if the concert is going ahead,…will it be cancelled as some of the other events have been at the Nashville venue… Personally, I’d love it to be postponed, then hopefully i can get Nashville and enjoy the prospect of seeing Alan Jackson in person belting out those beautiful songs. Is there anyone that know whats going on?
As of now I have no idea what the hell is going on and no-one else seems to know either.

There has been a big lack of communication from the Alan Jackson camp on these concert dates. Working on an update of his tour dates but some information has been hard to confirm.
