Another Dallas Cowboys Setback: Kane Brown Set for Thanksgiving Show

The Dallas Cowboys NFL football team has suffered yet another devastating setback in a season beset with them after it was revealed that Kane Brown will be this year’s halftime performer at the franchise’s annual Thanksgiving Day game. The Cowboys will take on the Washington Football team on November 26th, airing on FOX at 3:30 p.m. Central.

One of pop country’s worst performers who recently made headlines for getting lost on his own property and having to be rescued by police, it adds yet another embarrassment to an already dismal season for the Dallas Cowboys football team. Though the Dallas Cowboys are likely to turn in another monstrosity when they take the field on turkey day, it’s assured to be matched or beaten by whatever Kane Brown does at halftime, which will be the audio equivalent to bringing a positive case of COVID-19 to your holiday gathering.

The catastrophic news comes as the most valuable franchise in professional sports has dealt with numerous points of adversity in 2020, including losing most all of the starters on their offensive line due to injury, and then losing their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott for the season due to an ankle injury suffered on Week 5. The team also lost backup quarterback Andy Dalton in Week 7 due to a concussion. The Dallas Cowboys have turned in a terrible record of 2 and 6 in 2020 so far.

Previous Thanksgiving Day performers over the years from the country realm include Clint Black, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, and Eric Church. God forbid a sports franchise located in Dallas/Ft. Worth showcase some actual homegrown talent from the region like maybe Cody Jinks.

Instead this year it won’t just be the tryptophan making you feel sleepy, or expired cranberry sauce or overindulgence making you hurl. Kane Brown will be giving observers all kinds of uncomfortable feelings as he lip syncs or Auto-tune’s his way though a medley of his horrible music. But unlike what transpires during the game, this failure won’t be counterbalanced by better positioning in next year’s player draft.

Kane Brown is the JaMarcus Russell of country music.
