Billy Strings Adds New Dates to SOLD OUT Tour

photo: Shane Timm

There is no other way to put it: Billy Strings is a modern music marvel and phenomenon who will go on to define this generation in bluegrass and roots music, while future generations will look back upon us with envy that we got to see his rise, his heyday, and when he was in his prime. There is nothing else out there like Billy Strings in country and Americana, and any and all opportunities you get to see him live should be exploited.

Soon Billy Strings could be selling out arenas across the United States. But for the time being, he’s still content to play mid-sized venues, often booking multiple dates in the same location to fulfill demand. Up until today, all but three of the live dates he had on his calendar were sold out, and those soon will be as well. And similar to the Grateful Dead, you now have a contingent of people traveling often to see Billy Strings play wherever they can.

Billy Strings has just added a slew of new tour dates in February and March in select cities, and similar to his previous dates, they’re likely to sell out immediately, so set a reminder and be on your toes. Dates go on sale Friday, November 19 at 10 a.m. local time. Also, if you sign up for Billy’s mailing list, you can receive pre-order passwords.

He will be joined as always by banjoist Billy Failing, bassist Royal Masat, and Jarrod Walker on mandolin. Billy recently released a new album called Renewal debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
