Born & Raised Fest Announces Loaded Inaugural Lineup

The Born & Raised Fest left many with mouths agog when they announced their inaugural lineup in February of 2020, with Willie Nelson and Hank Jr. headlining, and a host of other cool bands filling out the undercard catering mostly to Texas, Red Dirt, and Americana music, slated for June 2020. But for obvious reasons, that lineup never took the stage.

But now the 3-day festival set to transpire in Pryor, Oklahoma September 17th-20th has announced a new lineup which is just as impressive, while also alleviating some of the concerns that came up the first time.

With ZZ Top and Cody Jinks at the top of the card, Blackberry Smoke, Randy Rogers Band, Parker McCollum, and Robert Earl Keen filling out the top slots, and an impressive undercard that includes hard-to-get names like Zach Bryan, Born & Raised Fest will hit the bullseye of appeal for many.

The festival is being held on the same location as the hard rock “Rocklahoma” festival, which will happen in 2021 over Labor Day (September 3-5), and is being organized by the same people with the help of mega concert promoter AEG Presents.

“We were excited to launch Born & Raised in 2020, and to say we’re even more excited in 2021 is an understatement,” shares Festival ProducerMike DuCharme of AEG Presents. “This region lives and breathes Outlaw, Texas, Red Dirt country. We can’t wait for fans to walk through the doors and experience what we have put together.”

One issue raised when their first lineup was announced in 2020 was the lack of women present. This time, Lucinda Williams arrives as a headliner, along with Nikki Lane, Jamie Lin Wilson, Kaitlin Butts, Kat Hasty, Kylie Frey, Holly Beth, and Chloe-Beth all making the roster.

AEG’s participation in the event also raised some concerns initially as a big promoter moving into this otherwise independent-oriented music space. But the strength of the lineup can’t be denied, and Born & Raised is making a big play to be one of the biggest annual festivals in Texas, Red Dirt, Outlaw, and Americana music for years to come.
