Brooks & Dunn Announce 2023 “Reboot” Tour

No need to go supping at the trough of close facsimiles to the 90s country music that’s so near and dear to your heart, served up by 20-somethings who weren’t even alive in the era and can only boast being “90s-inspired.” Brooks & Dunn are still alive and kicking, and can still serve up “My Maria,” “Neon Moon,” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” themselves, and that’s exactly what they’ll do when they embark on their “Reboot” tour in 2023.

Though it’s been a good 16 years since the duo released new music, good country music never goes out of style, and the music of Brooks & Dunn proves that, arguably growing better with age the farther we get away from the 90s, which was the last time mainstream country music sounded like country music.

Along those lines, Ronnie Dunn released a new album of 90s-style country called 100 Proof Neon last year that was pretty good. Perhaps some of those songs will be featured on this tour. Another tour run also lends to the question of when Brooks & Dunn proper may get back into the studio. With the swell of popularity in their music, now would be as good of a time as any.

The Country Music Hall of Famers will be joined by Scotty McCreery on the 17-date arena tour. “Having been a huge fan of their music all my life, going out on the road with Kix and Ronnie is a dream come true for me,” says McCreery. “I can’t wait for this tour to begin!”

Brooks & Dunn will also be playing Rodeo Houston this year on March 1st in a separate engagement.

Tickets for the “Reboot” tour go on sale Jan. 27 at 10:00 am local time at brooks-dunn.com.
