Charley Crockett’s ‘Austin City Limits’ Debut to Stream Live

It would take one mean and ugly son-of-a-bitch to pry my eyeballs away from a computer screen come Wednesday night, July 28th where they will be firmly affixed upon Charley Crockett making his Austin City Limits debut via a live stream from Texas.

No, this won’t be the actual episode on PBS, but the raw and real performance they will eventually cull down into the TV presentation, meaning you’ll get more songs, all the between-song banter, everything. You only get one opportunity to see it, and then it’s gone. So set your alarm for 8 p.m. Central, and look alive.

I can attest, Charley Crockett and his band the Blue Drifters are on absolute fire at the moment after rousing performances at Red Rocks in Colorado, and Under The Big Sky Fest in Montana. Austin City Limits will likely be capturing Charley Crockett at the height of his powers, and you won’t want to miss it.

It also comes as Charley Crockett gets ready to release his latest album Music City USA on September 17th, and released a tribute honky tonk legend James Hand earlier this year called 10 for Slim. So who knows, we may get a James Hand song out of the deal as well.

Charley Crockett has that magnetic, real world quality that give his songs that lived-in, road-worn feel, and for good reason. From dirty streets to Western peaks and all points in between, Charley Crockett propped open his guitar case in many far flung destinations and played for your ragged dollar before anyone had the smarts to place a microphone in front of him and try to capture that magic for permanence and posterity.

Now opportunities continue to open for him, and you better see him on the road when you still have the opportunity to take it in at intimate venues.

You can watch the Austin City Limits debut HERE, or right here below and gab about it in the comments.
