Chris Stapleton Announces Extensive 2020 Tour & Openers

Chris Stapleton has just dumped a bunch of new tour dates for his 2020 All-American Roadshow Tour to go along with some previously-announced appearances and events, and they include an extensive list of openers for the respective dates. Openers include Dwight Yoakam, Elle King, Hank Williams Jr., Kendell Marvel, Margo Price, Nikki Lane, Sheryl Crow, The Marcus King Band and Yola, The Highwomen, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and The Dirty Knobs with Mike Campbell (Tom Petty).

Stapleton had already previously announced his plans to help open the new Globe Life Park baseball stadium in Arlington, Texas on March 14th with Jamey Johnson, Willie Nelson, and Yola, as well as “A Concert in Kentucky” in Lexington on April 25th with Willie, Yola, and Sheryl Crow that will go to benefit Chris and Morgane Stapleton’s “Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund.” The benefit will be the first concert ever held at University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field.

After a few years of struggling to write new songs, Chris Stapleton appears to be coming out of his writers block and has been featuring numerous new songs in his live set last summer, including a song named “Minimum Wage” co-written with the aforementioned Mike Campbell, as well as another called “Bad Side of The Blood.” And then in October, Stapleton revealed a third new acoustic song called “Starting Over.” He’s also been playing a song with concert openers Brothers Osborne called “Get Down to Arkansas.”

Chris Stapleton Fan Club pre-sales will begin on Tuesday, February 4th, and public on sale for the newly-announced dates will start Friday, February 7th.
