Many consider the 2015 album Adobe Sessions by Cody Jinks as his masterpiece. And now it’s receiving two new editions to commemorate the album’s success, while a special tribute album to a country legend from Cody Jinks is also on the way.

Recently Cody Jinks unveiled a 180-gram double LP translucent gold vinyl edition of Adobe Sessions for sale. Similar to the gold edition of the landmark album Purgatory by Tyler Childers, it is to commemorate the Cody Jinks album achieving Gold status for selling over 500,000 units in physical sales, downloads, and streaming equivalents. Adobe Sessions is just the second independent release in country from the modern era behind Purgatory to achieve the feat.

Adobe Sessions has yet to officially receive its Gold certification from the RIAA, but it’s believed to be imminent. Cody Jinks has already earned a Gold Certified single for his song “Hippies and Cowboys,” and a Platinum certification for 1 million sales of his song “Loud and Heavy.”

Also, after the enthusiasm for Cody’s Unplugged & Behind the Music: Adobe Sessions live stream on September 12th, 2020, he will be finally be releasing the audio from the session in album form on May 7th. Fans who purchased tickets to the live stream already received the album, but now it will be available to the wide public.

But that’s not all Cody Jinks has up his sleeve. While confirming all the info on the new Adobe Sessions releases, Saving Country Music was also to confirm that the Lefty Frizzell tribute album Cody first hinted at last summer is done, and being prepped for release. Produced by Cody’s bass player Joshua Thompson, and mixed by Paul Cauthen, it’s said to have a very classic country sound to it. Stay tuned for a release date and further details on that project.

Cody Jinks may also have another acoustic album of his “Greatest Hits” coming soon? Perhaps entitled Janky Wuffle, also recorded during the downtime of the pandemic? Stay tuned for details on that as well.

But what most Cody Jinks fans are wondering is when they may her a new original album from the Fort Worth native. Jinks let it be known recently on social media, “The month of May is right around the corner… Do you know what that means? We are headed to the studio for a very long time, to record LOTS of new songs.”

Word is Jinks has upwards of 50 separate tracks he’s been working on. Not all of them may make it on a record, but he’ll have plenty to choose from. Word is tour dates and maybe even the announcement of a personally-curated festival may be on the way from Cody Jinks as well.

Stay frosty Jinks fans.
