Country Music Video Incites Man to Shoot Television
A 43-year-old West Texas man named Lamar Barry Andrews is in the pokey tonight for shooting a television. The incident occurred Friday (12/16) morning in Horizon City, TX, just outside of El Paso after Andrews and his girlfriend got in an argument over a country music video playing on the TV.
“When officers arrived at the scene, they met with the female complainant who said that her significant other had discharged his Colt .45 handgun into her television resulting from a heated discussion over a country song video that was playing at the time,” Police Chief Mike McConnell said Friday. Police found a bullet lodged in a metal fence outside the home, and confiscated the Colt .45. The television was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred at a home in the 14000 block of Desert Point Drive at approximately 4:40 a.m. according to police. Andrews was booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $2,500 bond for deadly conduct.
Chief McConnell said he did not know which country music video was playing at the time of the incident. But if it was on the television, chances are it was pretty terrible.

This is no fake news, but it seriously blows that the fake news bit had to be ruined by a bunch of politically motivated bloggers and greedy viral content farmers. Sometimes sarcasm is the best way to get a point across, and now that tool is no longer in the arsenal since you run the risk of your site getting flagged.

I love that he used the same gun that Bubba used to shoot the jukebox.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it was a justifiable homicide

What performer….song….video…. could have driven this guy mad to the point where he shot his TV???? Wonder if it was the ‘Cruise’ remix that drove him to this kind of act??? ? This cat has some serious anger and or/jealousy issues!!!!

I shot two TV’s before I finally cancelled my cable . First time was during Hunt’s ” House Party “. I was convinced the music couldn’t get any worse so I bought another set .Then I saw something by the Kruise Kids and …well ….now I listen to talk radio .

“you can play some Cash, or Crosby, Stills and Nash
George Jones or Guns’N’Roses would be fine
Or even even Barry White or “Help me Make it Through the Night”
but I don’t wanna hear Luke Bryan one more time!”

I don’t see what the problem is, other than the music video. Frankly, this deserves the key to the city…
