Producer, guitar player, and songwriter Dave Cobb has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. The deal was announced Monday (1-4), and also includes the formation of Cobb’s own publishing arm, Low Country Sound Publishing.

The news comes after an incredible 2015 for Cobb who saw success with numerous albums he produced, including Chris Stapleton’s Traveller, which won the 2015 CMA Album of the Year, as well as Jason Isbell’s Something More Than Free, which debuted at #1 on the country charts. Cobb has also recently produced albums for Lindi Ortega, A Thousand Horses, HoneyHoney, Anderson East, Corb Lund, and was nominated for Producer of the Year by the Grammy Awards.

Dave Cobb also signed a deal with Elektra Records in April 2015 to launch an A&R-style partnership with the Warner Music imprint. The deal allows Cobb to sign artists and develop talent as part of his producing duties. One of the first artists Cobb worked with under the new arrangement was Anderson East. Cobb will also release a concept record called Southern Family through the imprint on March 18th. The effort boasts an incredible list of talent, including Jason Isbell, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, and Brandy Clark. Cobb has also produced new albums from Holly Williams and Sturgill Simpson expected in 2016.

Two of the artists Dave Cobb has most famously produced for have also signed worldwide publishing deals recently. Jason Isbell signed a deal with Downtown Music Publishing in December, and Sturgill Simpson singed a deal with Downtown in June.
