This is such an awesome article. Sturgill is such an awesome talent, but I am glad that you mentioned that they are other underground artist who is just as talented. It is true that their lack of success, or should I say, their lesser success, is often a result of other factors, such as poor producing or simply putting the wrong person in charge of managing his/her business. That wrong person could be the artist themselves. I might also add Trigger, that underground artist, particularly those who are true to their own sounds, tend to seek out the wisdom of artist who they might respect or/and admire. That is all well and good, but they need to keep in mind that each musician is different or better said, unique. What might work for one musician will not necessarily work for another. They therefore need to take the advice they receive from older artist with a grain of salt. For the most part, each musician has their own sounds and their own unique set of fans. No where else is that more true than in the underground.
