C’mon man. Luke Bryan, or one of these f’n youtube “prank” troupes. How the hell can you pick a side that doesn’t involve both of them being in a plane crash? That’s just not fair.

Who’s picking sides? I just reported the story. A bunch of folks were emailing me about it, so here it is. It sounds to me like they both did sort of end up in a plane crash. The prank never got posted, and the label is out their money and effort.

Lame post, Trigger. Pranks are stupid, regardless of the target. And “professional” pranks are even more so. No one should be castigated for any bad response to an attempted prank.

Of course this post is lame, but I’m a little baffled why people think I’m picking sides or “castigating” Luke Bryan. I just reported what happened, and purposefully left out any opinion or embellishment. It’s a funny little story. A bunch of folks emailed me saying I should post something about it so I did. It took me like no time. Just trying to lighten the air on a Monday morning.

I found the post entertaining, and was only let down when I found out the video was wrapped in black tape. If people are posting that the article is stupid, they never learned that they can just skip over articles they don’t like without commenting on them.

It’s always the Country artists like Bryan that try so hard to put forth a “good ole boy” image that are often the least down to earth, humble people. The best analogy I can use for it is it often seems the biggest “bible thumper” or people who preach the loudest about traditional. family values are the guys who have the deepest, darkest skeletons crawling out of their closets.

Yes, he and his wife were out for the evening celebrating their anniversary. He was wearing a baseball cap and was asked to remove it during their meal. Not showing any class for his wife
or himself by TEXTING the entire event of what happened. No class. Imho.

I’m sure he has no idea what “Thunder Rolls” is about, because that’s something that Country singers know, and he’s not one.

And come on couldn’t they think of a better prank, like driving his truck into a lake, or putting a cord on the stage for him to trip over???

But seriously this is just dumb, a record label pranking an artist, and said artist being drunk… This is just evidence that the world sucks.

Why oh why does Luke Bryan still do all that Spring Break stuff? He’s been doing the same thing for years, and he started in his 30s. It’s embarrassing. And it’s creepy the way he always has to engage with sorority chicks. Or high school chicks…

Right? I thought last year was supposed to be his last year doing Spring Break? I mean, he is a good looking guy, but I am 39, as is he. I can’t imagine being 18 and lusting over some guy literally old enough to be my father. It’s past time that his label, or whoever, stops marketing him as a goofy, partying, fraternity type guy. After you’ve been married for a decade and have two kids, those days have sailed.

To be fair, the pranksters did not say what year they did this prank. It could have been a couple of years ago. Luke Bryan has been too old to be doing the Spring Break thing for a decade now, so the concern still stands. But this could have happened a while back.

First off, I hate Luke Bryan just as much as anyone else who reads this site, if not more than most.

But I can’t blame the guy for doing the spring break thing. As a single guy in his mid-30s, if I had access to that many young single girls who are looking for one thing and one thing only, I would take it as my sworn civic duty as well. Not going to lie.

There are stories in the media all the time about mainstream stars either pranking each other, or getting pranked. The pranks are orchestrated, sometimes filmed, and then press releases are disseminated about them, or they’re broadcast on big shows, etc. The reason for this is because it humanizes the performer to their fans. It makes them more “real” in public perception. It’s a PR move. Luke Bryan’s own label paid for this prank, and flew these guys down to Florida for it. If folks want to be angry at someone, be angry at Luke Bryan’s label. Why would you get mad at the pranksters for getting paid to do a prank? Believe it or not, they were actually trying to help Luke Bryan’s public perception. My guess is some folks may be offended by this story because they’ve been the victims of pranks and been poor sports about it too. I’ve been the victim of pranks myself and you feel like a complete dumbass afterwards, but you also have to be able to laugh at yourself and the situation. That’s the whole lesson.

I remember Luke Bryan giving his last “SPRING BREAK CONCERT” last yr. He said it was time .
If you get a chance to Ever check Luke’s YouTube videos back in 2009-2010, then you will see
His demeanor when he’s had a few drinks. Not “happy drunk”. Think his management.team has
cleaned it up as the yrs have gone on. Not surprised by this prank and the fall out.

Keep in mind,he is married and has children….just wonder if this behavior is accepted in his home. Yes he is an entertainer and it has always been a business, but how does ones spouse
bring themselves to just say ” it’s just part of the business”? When the tickets don’t sell, and the
promoting slows down, how will it effect the Super Star Country singer? Eventually this will happen to Luke Bryan like every other entertainer when the “fad” is gone. Stay tuned, should be interesting to see how he and his family handle it.

Good point. Btw did anyone see the picture two college kids on spring break posted this week after bumping into Luke outside his beach house? They said he was wasted and asked them if they were ready to get naked.

It’s on Instagram. So, I think the answer to the question is: he us like this always but when he’s ‘on’ they mask it well. He is mr it right now, but eager to see what happens when the star fades. His wife is a lovely person and I do hope she doesn’t get the sh$& end of the deal

I like pranks, though Roman Atwood is known to take it way too far. When he pranked his wife into thinking he had just accidentally killed their child, I just had to stop watching his videos. I think there is a good chance his wife was in on it, but I just can’t with him anymore.

This one sounds pretty harmless, though.

What might help is if Mr. Bro-Meister Bryan would quit showing up drunk as often as he does. It would probably put him in a better frame of mind if he ever gets pranked like this again. I doubt, though, that it’d result in him getting away from his penchant for doing all those songs about beer-drinkin’, dirt roads, and calling even grown-up women “GIRL” all the time, not to mention putting ever more royalty checks into Dallas Davidson’s greasy palms.

At this point I think everyone has noticed Luke’s drunkenness on stage. Only leads to wonder what the family man is like at home. Every genre of music changes and record sales decline,
then concert ticket sales drop. When this starts happening to Luke I don’t think a beer or two
Will be enough for him. WATCH This Space.

I saw Luke Bryan last July. He talked more than sang and when he did sing, he wasn’t good at all. Maybe the crew didn’t sequence his background lead vocal tapes properly. Randy Houser went on before LB and completely upstaged him in the vocal department. Trigger, didn’t you post an article from Rolling Stone regarding singers and their range, from best to worst? Luke Bryan was one of the worst, according to this list. However, the topic here is his inability to handle a harmless prank. Guess the mighty Luke Bryan doesn’t like to be pranked but he sure enjoys being a punchline.

Honestly I’m not gonna lie, yes I am a fan of Luke Bryan but I feel like he’s kinda done a whole 180 since his beginning. He came into fame a little late which isn’t terrible but to start off as an older man trying to get 20 year olds to flash their boobs at you during a spring break concert is ballistic honestly. His new album KTL I can tell only has about 3 songs that Luke actually speaks through I feel as if the others were pushing him to get more sales and stuff like don’t get me wrong, “Strip It Down,” is a good song but I would’ve of chose it for Luke being that he is a family man with now 3 kids and is coming up on 10 years of marriage. To me, he should be portrayed as the old fun Luke who sang about beer and hunting ya know country man stuff instead of becoming this all of a sudden sexual trying to attract 15 year old girls as a 39 year old man. I don’t know just my opinion no hate still a fan but I’d rather have oldschool Luke the one who claimed,”I’ll stay me,” instead of this new dude who I’m slowly becoming unimpressed by.
