Miranda Lambert Involved in Restaurant Incident. Police Called.

Miranda Lambert was involved in an incident in Nashville on Sunday evening (2-10) at the Stoney River Steakhouse on the west side of the city, where she reportedly dumped a plate of food in someone’s lap, and eventually the police were called. Neither Miranda Lambert, nor anyone else was arrested, and no charges have been filed. Miranda and the other members of her dining party had left the establishment by the time police arrived. Lambert had been dining at the restaurant with her mother and a family friend.

The incident reportedly did not start with Lambert, but with the male family friend. The friend and an older man first began arguing in the men’s restroom about Millennials and their phones. Later the argument spilled out into the dining room, with the older man coming up to Miranda Lambert’s table and shouting. Eyewitnesses say Lambert had to be restrained, and eventually went to the other party’s table and dumped a salad in a woman’s lap. Police were called about two men fighting, and arrived on the scene after the incident had ended. No further legal action is expected at this time.

This isn’t the first time things haven gotten physical in a public establishment with Miranda Lambert. On her 27th birthday, Miranda was celebrating in a bar when Canadian rock star and frontman for Nickelback, Chad Kroeger, tried to buy her a shot. When Miranda Lambert refused, and Chad Kroger insisted, the situation became heated, with Miranda reportedly punching Kroeger in the face. Lambert’s husband at the time, Blake Shelton, later said of the incident, “People always try to pop off or call her bluff at bars.”

Originally from Texas, Miranda Lambert moved to Nashville after her divorce from Blake Shelton in 2015. She is not currently on tour, but does have numerous festival appearances planned for 2019.

UPDATE: Some video has surfaced from the incident.
