New Albums: Little Lisa Dixie & Honky Tonk Hustlas
A couple of spanking new albums have just dropped that you should be abreast of.
The first is the long-awaited album from songstress Little Lisa Dixie. It seems like Little Lisa has been around forever, but this is her first serious, full-length, self-titled release on Another Mile Records.
You could say that her music could be found on a soundtrack of a Quentin Tarantino or at the end of Natural Born Killers. You could say her music is good for drinking away working-class blues and smoking the loneliness right outta your heart. With her own twist on country music, one things for sure, she pours her heart and soul into every song.
Listen to previews below!
Little Lisa will also be on Outlaw Radio Chicago this Wednesday (4-6-11) at 8 PM Central on SCM LIVE.

It comes up in discussion often how many underground country bands are from the upper Midwest, and how many are NOT from the deep South. The Honky Tonk Hustlas are an exception, making their home South of Nashville with their new release.
The Honky Tonk Hustlas are a Montgomery, Alabama-based string band that blends traditional Southern roots with their own rowdy style of raw, outlaw country. They’ve got a down and dirty, old-school sound with a new, twisted philosophy and the skills to back it up.

Lisa will be on Outlaw on Wednesday to discuss the new album and much more.
April 3, 2011 @ 7:42 am
The new HTH is fuckin badass.
April 3, 2011 @ 10:57 am
Thanks crook. We appreciate that a lot!
April 3, 2011 @ 10:36 am
The Honky Tonk Hustlas have an OFFICIAL WEBSITE, which unfortunately wasn’t linked in the above write-up. Go to http://www.honkytonkhustlas.com to check it out. We’ve got a full web store, tour dates, all that good stuff.
BOTH OF OUR FULL-LENGTH ALBUMS ARE FOR SALE ON OUR OFFICIAL SITE RIGHT NOW AT http://www.honkytonkhustlas.com/Store
There has indeed been an influx of cookie-cutter Midwestern bands that have recently popped up and are being salivated over for whatever reason by what what now claims to be the underground community. However, REAL country music is still alive in the South, no matter what discussions you may have heard or articles you may have read. But…be forwarned: our Southern accents are REAL, and although we are not part of this new country music clique, we still give it our all in hopes that fans will appreciate what we do with or without the backing and support of “new underground” websites, publications, and festivals.
We don’t get invited to play these “new underground” festivals, even when they’re practically in our own backyard. The deep-pocketed, rich kid newcomers who put on these festivals and start these new “record labels” care nothing for tradition. They have simply created a clique where bands like ours are not welcome so they can push their own ideas of what the “new underground” should be. There is one festival in particular (which I won’t do the favor of mentioning their name), who I’ve been told has had many, many people contact them and request to have us added to the lineup (hell, I even requested myself but was completely ignored). I’ve been told that this promoter either ignores the fans’ requests, or claims to have never heard our music…which of course, is obviously a lie, because I have correspondence from him from years ago talking about how much he loves our music. This is further proof of the schism that has formed in the underground scene…a schism that is counterproductive to what we are trying to accomplish and only serves to stroke the egos of those who perpetuate this absurdity.
Folks, be aware that this “new” underground country movement is already fractured and is splintering off into several new subgenres. Obviously, it would be best for us all to show some solidarity and work together against the powers that be in Nashville, but the unfortunate fact is that the people behind the scenes of this “new” movement have adopted many of Nashville’s worst traits, the very things they claim to despise so much. That, by definition, is hypocrisy.
Get your information from a variety of sources. Don’t rely on any one website or festival to make up your mind about any particular artist. Take the time to search for their official websites and/or myspace pages, and make up your own mind for yourselves.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you all enjoy the new HTH album, ‘South of Nashville’. We worked our asses off for this one…or at least I know I did!

Actually your official website was linked to up above. That why “Honky Tonk Hustlas” was highlighted. It is a link. You click on it, and it takes you there. Unfortunately I forgot to link to your store when giving the other links. I apologize. I just added it.
What the hell is this all about man? Why don’t you name names? I do. Blake Shelton, Josh Thompson, Toby Keith, Mike Curb. Go ahead. Say Muddy Roots, say savingcountrymusic.com. Everyone knows that’s who you mean, SO FUCKING SAY IT. And if you won’t, then take that weak shit back to Facebook and Twitter. And while you do it, take the negative XXX energy with you.
You just kicked over a BIG anthill, and for the life of me, I don’t know why. I don’t get paid to do this, I was trying to give you some attention. Excuse the hell out of me. Were you expecting a bigger review? I’m actually working on it right now, and it will be HONEST, regardless of you trying to start shit.
Why?WHY?
I’m done with XXX. It’s over.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:33 pm
“Everyone knows what you mean”
Ha. Obviously you don’t.
Personally, yes I think that one festival did us shitty, and so does the rest of our fanbase, but we understand that’s how it goes in this business. As for that label/promoter/whatever they do, I don’t have an opinion one way or the other of them. They’ve never been rude to me, so I have no reason to dislike them.
But it’s much deeper than that, it isn’t just HTH either. There are tons of us who are tired of non-musician “critics” who haven’t ever contributed a fucking ounce of creativity other than taking a shit in the morning and their personal vendettas against bands like us and what seems to be Southern bands in general.
Initially, I wasn’t even trying to ruffle your feathers; however, I now believe what a fellow musician recently told me…and I quote…”I told ya Trigger is a cunt”
April 3, 2011 @ 3:34 pm
Actually I am a musician T Junior. You’re making another wild-ass assumption about me, and I’d bet dollars to donuts that I have done way more touring than you.
But your’re right. The world has turned against me. So I think there’s nothing more to do than to shut the website down. I will fulfill my obligations to my podcasters, but beyond that, I’m done. Game over. You win.
April 3, 2011 @ 12:15 pm
FYI when i won a prize pack for a contest held on this site years ago i won some HTH stuff. Trigg has promoted you guy what a over reaction. Sometimes things get left out hell he forgot to post the time of his own show. If it was not for SCM i never would have heard of HTH.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:46 pm
Surely there’s nothing wrong with me posting a link to my own website that was originally omitted.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:01 pm
Sure, post the link, but why call out Muddy Roots and Hillgrass Bluebilly? That’s bullshit. And then start preaching about division. Ha!
April 3, 2011 @ 2:09 pm
Oh is that who I called out because I don’t recall naming names because I’m not fucking stupid enough to open myself up to slander/libel lawsuit. Thanks for letting me know who I was talking about because I just couldn’t figure it out on my own. You fuck.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:58 pm
https://www.savingcountrymusic.com/the-honky-tonk-hustlas-country-music-anarchy
“The Honky Tonk Hustlas are that real deal, hard working country band that we all crave. These three guys from the Hank Williams hometown of Montgomery, Alabama have a good, classic sound, and original songs with lyrics steeped in the sin of the south.
I was immediately impressed with the effort they had put just in making the CD look good. That may seem superficial, but these dudes have put a lot of time and effort into promoting themselves, and I always like to see that kind of effort from a band. The Honky Tonk Hustlas are the REAL DEAL for sure, so listen to em, add them on MySpace, and support them by buying their music or going to see them if they”™re in your neck of the woods.”
April 3, 2011 @ 10:42 am
Good stuff on both of these. Honky Tonk Hustlas almost sound like a Hank 3 tribute band doing originals. That’s just my take from the amazon previews…
April 3, 2011 @ 11:01 am
Thanks buddy. Six Grand plus 3 years of work, all out of our own pockets, and that’s what you’ve got to say.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:21 am
Tweet from T. Junior of Honky Tonk Hustlas:
“Just saw a “write-up” on SCM about the new @HTHustlas album. Do yourself a favor, skip it and go straight to http://www.honkytonkhustlas.com/Store“
1000 blogs I’ve written for NOTHING, and this is how it’s dealt with now. Welcome to XXX my friends! Arrogant, judgmental bullshit from people who think they’re owed. I’ve worked HARD for everything Saving Country Music has become. Nobody helped me. NOBODY. And I’ll be damned if I’ll let XXX destroy it.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:26 am
I agree with you that maybe T. Junior shouldn’t have had such a harsh reaction (although he did make some points I’ve heard from many other artists, never about you). But don’t blame XXX for it, especially when both of the artists who you named for your album of the year last year are on board with it.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:42 am
A harsh reaction to what? WHAT? I WAS PROMOTING HIS FUCKING BAND!
And yeah, I DO blame XXX for it, because in 3 years, I NEVER had this kind of negativity on my website. Now it is a weekly occurrence. XXX is NEGATIVE energy, and I want no part of it. It has fractured the country music underground right in half.
I want any and all savingcountrymusic.com stuff on givememyxxx.com removed, NOW! If you want to link to my XXX news stories and such, so be it, but I will NOT have my name associated with it any more.
I will have more about this when my head cools down.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:50 am
We’ll remove it, but not Outlaw Radio, etc. But if you want to see what’s destroying the underground community, it’s the fans, artists, websites, radio, etc refusing to work together for the good of ALL of the artists. And, as you’ve said yourself, we NEED that whether you call it XXX or not, whether Shooter’s spearheading it or not, and whether SCM is involved or not. We’re getting more and more artists on board everyday and these are artists who feel as if they are ignored by the “underground country” movement (and I know better than anybody that you don’t always have the time to review every great album you get.) But this is about embracing EVERYBODY who makes great music that doesn’t fit into Nashville: from the metal-country of Joecephus, to Last False Hope’s unique brand of hardcore bluegrass, to all of the wonderful Farmageddon artists, to the straight-up traditionalism of HTH.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:48 pm
Speaking of arrogance, you are the most arrogant individual I’ve ever encountered my “friend”. Ask around…wait..don’t they won’t have the balls because they’re afraid you’ll give a negative review.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:18 pm
One last time…HTH is NOT affiliated with XXX or the XXX genre or anybody else that has worked to promote it. We respect what they do, like most of the bands that fall into the niche, and think it’s a great idea; however, I never received a membership card or a certificate with my name on it telling me I was in the club. It is totally unfair to associate Shooter and/or Adam and/or their efforts with your beef with me. They built their own thing, and I had absolutely NOTHING to do with it. I just recently met them both, and while I do consider them friends and appreciate everything they have done to help promote HTH, they should not be “punished” for anything that I said.
AGAIN — I’M NOT XXX. I’m T. Junior. Period.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:48 am
Trigger – absolutely unfair of you to take that stance on XXX based on whatever T Junior was trying to say. All we (me and Adam mainly) have done was try and promote your site, and every band you cover as well as ones you don’t in hopes that more people are turned onto the music, the sources and the hard working people who aren’t getting paid. I’m not getting a dime either to talk about sCM and all the other outlets I’ve come to love and defend. For you to take Keith’s stance of ‘XXX destroying’ anything that you’ve done is as weak as the negativity you speak of. Shane on you, Kyle. I haven’t promoted my music or myself once ounce in this or tried to profit in any way. All I’ve wanted was to see all this music get to more people and I’m hearing that it’s happening from a lot of people. Why are you trying to take the whole ship down with your anger? Unless you really want me to leave you out of it, I would like to continue promoting your site and the music you cover as well as the friends that I’ve made in the process, JashieP, rev Nix, Wreckhouse, Farmageddon, steve Terrell, Blue Ribbon and yourself have all been vigilant soldiers in my mind. Whatever Tsaid that upset you so much is not worth trying to end all of our efforts. Yes, you are a pioneer in this landscape, and I respect and treat you as such, dispite all the negative energy that comes my way on this site (or at least has in the past). Please, I’m begging of you to be civil and smart about this. We are all friends here
Shooter
April 3, 2011 @ 11:53 am
Amen. Everybody’s human and for some reason T. Junior had a harsh reaction to this. It could happen to me. It could happen to you. but the guilt by association thing never works.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:54 am
And however it is that you translate a very positive effort to expose MORE people to you and this music as negative is very off base, man. We haven’t had one single negative word to say or negative response except for those who feel threatened by it for whatever reason that may be. You have the keys to the castle, why burn it down?
Shooter
April 3, 2011 @ 11:56 am
Wow. My first thought on Honky Tonk Hustlas is how similar to Hank III their sound is. That’s pretty crappy for T. Junior to get his feathers ruffled over a positive review of their new release. But I was never on board with XXX, from the get go, so the line can be drawn as far as I’m concerned. The movement isn’t weak or fractured. If you’re in it for the right reasons then you ain’t got nothin’ to worry about.
I knew when I heard Little Lisa Dixie on the Compilation that I liked her style. Cheating Games was one that got the replay button. Several times.
Great blog Triggerman and don’t let ’em get you down. Really shouldn’t be playing a hypocrisy card, for real, it’s just ain’t right.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:44 pm
where did you read this positive review you speak of? just curious. did you travel forward in time and do this, or are you just lying through yer teeth?
April 3, 2011 @ 3:04 pm
No. Not lying through my teeth. Nor am I a time traveler.
The blog starts with stating HTH and Little Lisa Dixie’s new releases are two we should be abreast of. Side by side. A positive statement.
Then, Triggerman aka Pompous Ass goes on to say (and I’m paraphrasing) that the HTH are skilled in traditional roots, with a unique rowdy style that is raw outlaw and down and dirty and old school to boot . . .
Hmphf.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:58 am
sorry for the typos typing on my phone sucks.
April 3, 2011 @ 11:59 am
I’ll be back to respond shortly. I have to eat some lunch before I faint. Yet another day, and another blog destroyed by negative shit.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:47 pm
Your post destroyed it. I was trying to initiate dialog and get others opinions because I knew there would be many. You jumped to the offensive when I wasn’t even talking about you. Wise man once said your ego is too fucking big if you think everything you read is directed at you.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:14 pm
You were talking about my brothers and sisters, and so thus, you were talking about me. Jason at Muddy Roots is my brother. Keith at Hillgrass, Darren at Farmageddon, are my brothers. So are the GREAT musicians from NORTH of the Mason-Dixon line. I don’t NOT talk about artists just because they’re from the South. Are you fucking kidding me? I’m from the South.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:18 pm
Well we sure as shit don’t claim ya, fuckface
April 3, 2011 @ 3:27 pm
Putting words in my mouth again. You’re nothing more than a liar, Kyle. I thought better of you, but I see now that EVERYONE was right.
I like Farmageddon and their artists…hell I’m friends with some of ’em. And I don’t even know Darren…never met him; however, he has sent kind messages to us in the past so why would I have anything against him?
Like I said before I don’t know anybody at Hillgrass…never interacted with them, so I have no opinion of them whatsoever…good or bad.
Muddy Roots? I don’t know the guy. I know of the festival, and that is all…and even then it’s only because I read about it HERE on YOUR site…because until today I actually respected you and your opinions. Now I know that you’re just another conformist clique kid with no idea of individuality or free thinking.
I didn’t call out specifics because I MEANT it in terms of GENERALIZATION to speak of the movement as a whole. If I were to call specifics, it wouldn’t be representative about the movement.
I understand that they’re your friends, and now I’m starting to see why you got so pissed, but you read too far into what I was trying to say. However, if you’re unwilling to discuss civilly and wanna play that “Yo Mama” shit, then we are done here because I won’t waste my time talking to you anymore.
Like I said I don’t have any problems with Farmageddon, Hillgrass, or who the fuck ever else. More power to them, and I wish them success.
Also, I got lots of Northern musician friends, too…hell half of them are the ones who told me how much of a dickhead you really are…probably the same ones you think you’re friends with, chump.
April 3, 2011 @ 12:09 pm
Just one more thought: the reason for more negativity is more people. That happens with everything as it grows.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:14 pm
Then less people is the way I’ll go.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:16 pm
As the artists you love can’t feed their families…..Nice move.
April 3, 2011 @ 12:12 pm
Let me address two things before Trigger gets back.
1. T Junior – I understand how frustrating it can be to work very hard and not get the results you want. First hand I’ve been rejected from ALL sides of the community throughout my career. I know how disappointments can feel, but you have to roll with the punches. And you can’t come screaming if you don’t like the results. Things will even out. You guys made a great album and you’re on a great path, so this kind of frustration is best kept within the band and vented through the live shows and the music. We support your music either way, but the egg’s on your face here for the outburst. Try and pull it together and see that people like SCM are helping you by even covering you and letting the world know you exist. As are we… But none of your comments reflect my, or Adam’s or XXX as a whole’s opinion or outlook.
2. Trig – I know how much it sucks to deal with this kind of stuff on an empty stomach. Take a moment and read what we said. If you still want out of the XXX page and all that, I’m happy to oblige you, but it would break my heart because I look at SCM like a huge beacon in the landscape for this stuff and all we want to do is try and help take some of the work off your shoulders. You listen to everything, you keep track of all this great music and you comment on it. We look to you for your opinion to help us keep perspective on all of the music that comes our way. We count on you in that way. We just want to be the road map for lost travelers, letting them know where they need to go to get their information. We don’t support negative outbursts like this, and we don’t condone childish behavior. But we also don’t react to it and take part in it. Try and see it clearly for what it is. TJ was acting out a bit, but it’s only to his own discredit. Not XXX’s.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:53 pm
Sorry man, but you missed my point altogether.
April 3, 2011 @ 12:17 pm
haters gonna hate, triggerman
April 3, 2011 @ 12:30 pm
I have to say, frustrations and emotions do heat up and tempers blow, but as a fan of this whole music scene in general I’d like to see more people try to avoid the fracturing and splintering as much as possible so I guess my advice (for what it’s worth) is to keep working together to get the music heard.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:15 pm
Waiting for CD Baby to finish downloading the latest & greatest from Last False Hope, I opened new tabs for Little Lisa Dixie and Honky Tonk Hustlas and read these comments. I’m glad I did because now I won’t buy HTH after the outburst above.
It’s true that since this triple ex thing, the comments have gone sour and as much as I appreciate Shooter and his gang for promoting bands and artists I think should be household names, negativity has come with it.
On the other hand, it’s just as useful to know who the a-holes are so I don’t go spending my money on them or promoting them or talking about them.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:20 pm
Awww… Gillian… my heart bleeds.
April 3, 2011 @ 1:43 pm
I owe no explanation whatsoever to anybody on Earth, and honestly, I couldn’t give a fuck less what anybody thinks about anything; however, I will say that y’all took me way out of context. I’m unapologetic, don’t give a fuck, and could NOT care less.
The link to my website wasn’t posted, so I posted it. Kyle added it AFTER the fact and probably would have forgotten had he not seen my post. So, mission accomplished as far as that goes. Also my followers actually read my twitter posts…most of them at least, and I have made several sales via the website since I posted that tweet. Bottom line = this is my business. This is what I do to make money. This is not a hobby. I have bills to pay. No reason for my ppl to come here and then be directed to CD Baby when they can just buy straight from me. Those who can’t understand that are just too thick-skulled for me to even be associated with. I don’t have a cushy job or a rich daddy to fall back on, so I gotta work my ass off to get the word out…whatever it takes.
Also, trying to point out that my fellow Southern brethren also work their asses off and get no exposure is nothing I should apologize for. They are overlooked in favor of lesser Midwestern artists on a consistent basis, and that is FACT.
Pointing out the purported nonexistent blacklist for bands like us is something I refuse to apologize for as well. Kyle I wasn’t talking about you when I was referring to the new Nashville and the hypocrisy that goes with it, but if you feel like you’re a part of that machine then so be it. That is your decision.
Kyle, I wasn’t attacking you like you clearly seem to think. Although I would most definitely attack you now (with a claw hammer…haha), I was generalizing and should have been more specific. I did not mean you because logically, why would I bash you on your own site?
Anyway, this has been misconstrued, even by folks like Shooter. I never claimed any membership to XXX or anything like that. I just happen to like the music. For me, it’s about music. I don’t need advice and I don’t need people pretending like I think I speak for them or whatever, because I speak for T. Junior. I don’t even speak for Honky Tonk Hustlas. Sure, I play in that band, but I’m one man…T. Junior, and that is all. I don’t claim to save anything or free anybody or change the music world or any stupid shit like that. I’m just a dude who makes music that some of y’all like and some of y’all don’t.
Kyle, to think I defended you intensely last weekend during a conversation between four different touring bands in our genre makes me really wish I had not done that because they were right about you all along. You really are a pompous asshole.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:38 pm
Alright then, T.Junior, be a little more specific about just whom you were talking about so that we understand your blanket statement about the hypocrisy of the “new” underground movement.
You were referring to Muddy Roots. You were referring to SCM. If not, then despite your claim to not owing an explaination, you do. You see, when you come on here and state your case, you should be ready for opinions about it.
Triggerman’s rearside is about as pompous as yours. How’s that for hypocrisy? You didn’t get an invite to Muddy Roots so you want to bash them? How about going and celebrating the talent of others?
And further more, if you don’t care what anyone in this world thinks about anything well sir, that is about as pompous as it gets. Not even your loved ones? Or just people in general? Maybe you just mean the hypocrites on this forum.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:09 pm
So you think that one website and one festival make up the new underground scene?
AGAIN – I WAS NOT REFERRING TO SCM. Sorry, and this may sound mean, but I don’t think that highly of this site to elevate it to that status. I’m not trying to be rude, just telling to truth. Trying to explain this to you would obviously be like trying to teach algebra to a gorilla.
As for festivals, and being that I play in a band, how about you buy my ticket so I can go because otherwise I’m too damn broke because AGAIN – I’M IN A BAND.
You are a clueless individual, and I’m done discussing this with you.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:10 pm
I was told a few mins ago by a fellow musician that I stirred the hornets nest of self-righteous poseurs. You proved it, darlin’.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:22 pm
I’ll gladly buy you a ticket, darlin’. And you’re right. I don’t like algebra especially taught by a gorilla.
But I ain’t skeered of hornets too awful much.
You’re done discussing because you don’t want to answer my questions or see my side. Now THAT”S WHAT I CALL POMPOUS!
DO ME A FAVOR AND TELL YOUR FELLOW MUSICIAN FRIEND THANKS. I AM KINDA LIKE THAT
FLY LIKE A BUTTERFLY
STING LIKE A BEE
HAHAHAHHA! The point is T.Junior that if’n you have a point, and want to make it then so be it. But you’re the one comin’ into the nest to do so.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:19 pm
T Junior,
The link was posted. But let’s say it wasn’t, or by some technical glitch you either did not see it or it did not work, the point is that I wrote an article about YOUR music, took time out for my Sunday to help you out, and you used it against me. People can use Google. I assume an intelligent reader. The point is you obviously had a beef with me before this even started. I’d bet dollars to donuts its something you heard on Facebook. I know there’s tons of people that hate me, and that’s fine. I do what I do, and I’ll let history judge it. But don’t back pedal now. You did call me out.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:25 pm
Everyone’s moody because of the ACMs, no big deal
April 3, 2011 @ 2:36 pm
haha…now that’s actually funny right there. too bad everybody got so serious so fast. i honestly initially didn’t mean to piss anybody off, but i couldn’t let dude post aggressive messages about me with no reply. at least i’m laughing. hahaa
April 3, 2011 @ 2:43 pm
TJ – i’m not criticizing you, and i get what you were intending to say, but it was taking differently by Trigger. I hope this can just be worked out it’s silly bickering. I agree with Steve G. The ACM’s are on, they are a unified force AGAINST what we believe in. AGAINST COUNTRY MUSIC v SAVING COUNTRY MUSIC. They are working hard together and we are bickering on our own sites. This is what seems to be a waste of time to me. I dig your record alot, I love it, and I love bands like you.
April 3, 2011 @ 2:51 pm
Exactly and that’s what it all boils down to. I love the new HTH record (and will review it soon), Shooter loves it, Kyle loves it, etc. And we all FUCKING HATE the ACMs. So instead of bickering about silly shit, why don’t we unite in our love for HTH and bands like them (whether they’re from the South, the midwest, or fucking Antarctica) and unite in our hatred towards the pop country establishment. That’s what XXX is about, bringing us all together. Strength in numbers and all of that shit. OF COURSE there’s going to be infighting. That happens with any movement as it gains power and gains numbers.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:05 pm
You’re right man, it’s just hard when there are other factions that do not want that to happen. I made an attempt to open a dialog about it, but obviously this isn’t a true comment board. This is a MY OPINION IS THE ONLY OPINION board.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:03 pm
I know man, it’s all good. Just one of those days for everybody I guess?
I honestly didn’t mean anything negative about SCM or Kyle or anything to do with this website…until I got his reply. After that I meant every fuckin word.
I’m not the only person who feels this way. They act as if there are no bands south of the Mason-Dixon line…and by they I better specify before somebody freaks out that I’m referring to the movement as a whole.
See folks…”they” is a term of generalization. That’s what it fucking means. Got it?
April 3, 2011 @ 3:13 pm
And yeah it is silly bickering, definitely. Shoulda never happened. But if somebody is looking to get offended because they like it, then they’re gonna find something somewhere to get their fix.
April 3, 2011 @ 3:21 pm
You tweet:
““Just saw a “write-up” on SCM about the new @HTHustlas album. Do yourself a favor, skip it and go straight to http://www.honkytonkhustlas.com/Store““
is how all this started.
