Newest Additions to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#13)

Man do we have a few doozies to add to the Saving Country Music Top 25 Current Playlist, amplifying an already jam packed lineup that’s hard to know what to let go of just to add the best of what’s new. But somehow, someway, space must be made for a few stellar new song releases, including Mike and the Moonpies doubling up with John Baumann on the excellent song “Country Music’s Dead.” Baumann’s “Old Stone Church” was stuck in the Top 25 playlist for months, and is currently up for the Saving Country Music’s 2017 Song of the Year. Now it’s his effort with Mike and the Moonpies ahead of Austin band’s much-anticipated album Steak Night at the Prairie Rose will be hard to remove from the playlist for months to come.

You may have never heard of Jason Link, but after you get a snoot full of his new song “Evolution,” it’ll be hard to forget. The song is from the not exactly officially released album Music City Machine that is only available on Spotify at the moment, but it certainly gets the juices flowing and will get you excited for the official release early next year.

And rounding out this round of draftees to the Top 25 Current Playlist is 3rd generation performer Raelyn Nelson with her rambunctious cover of “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).”

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist primarily lives on Spotify, but is also available for those who use Google Play. For those who use neither, you can still find the song recommendations in list form below.
