Newest Additions:

Willie Nelson – “Dusty Bottles” – Don’t fool yourself into thinking that at 89, Willie Nelson can’t have much left in the tank. As he proves time and time again on his latest album A Beautiful Time, he’s still one of the best country artists out there. Written by Jim “Moose” Brown, Scotty Emerick and Don Sampson, “Dusty Bottles” is just about the perfect song for the perfectly-aged Willie Nelson to perform.

Ellis Bullard – “Biloxi By Two” – Ellis Bullard is no hipster that just blew in from east Nashville or Echo Park, CA. He’s the latest honky-tonker to emerge out of Austin’s bar scene ready to bring shit kicking country music back to the forefront. Field tested on A-Town stages such as The White Horse and Sam’s Town Point, Ellis Bullard and his band of seasoned Austin A-listers make a strong case for national attention with their debut record, Piss-Hot Freightlining Country Music.

Kelsey Waldon – “Sweet Little Girl” – Kelsey Waldon’s new album No Regular Dog produced by Shooter Jennings will be out August 12th. She says about the premier single, “[It’s] in part about me, but perhaps it’s also about you. It’s about the rage and unrest inside during a process to find healing. It’s simply just about a gal who is trying to find her way back ‘home’.”

Stacy Antonel – “Planetary Heartache” – This is the perfect opportunity to onboard with Stacy Antonel, whose debut album Always The Outsider full of throwback country influences comes out June 17th. This song is about falling in love with a M.A.S.H.-watching alien, and so much more.

William Beckmann – “Bourbon Whiskey” – It’s as if a hole was ripped open in the space-time continuum, and out walked some bygone baby-faced character from an era 60 years earlier than the present, serenading our famished ears with classic country goodness so fetching in tones, and innocent to the impurities that have ravaged the genre since its Golden age. From his new album Faded Memories.

Charley Crockett – “Lonely in Person” – One of the great things about Charley Crockett’s insistence on covering the old classics of country is how he’s revitalizing certain tracks that could have gone forgotten or overlooked. This obscure track from Tom T. Hall that even many Tom T. Hall fans didn’t know was his is a perfect example, and a great song to boot, especially one for Charley Crockett to perform.

Caroline Spence – “Scale These Walls” – What a great song with the steel guitar mimicking the tugging of heart strings, and Spence admitting to the building of emotional barriers, but only for them to be compromised by someone who cares enough to win her heart, resulting in a come hither message, but one as complex as actual human relationships. From her excellent new under-the-radar album True North.

Joshua Hedley – “Found in a Bar” – It’s not just the nostalgic joy you get from listening to Joshua Hedley’s new 90s-inspired album Neon Blue, it’s the type of simple, almost innocent sentimentality found in the writing of songs like “Found in a Bar” that bring an immediate fondness to this music touched by memory and just a hint of melancholy.
