Newest Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#56)

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to. New songs have just been added.

Newest Additions:

Wade Hayes – “Honky Tonk in Texas” – The 90’s country star released a new under-the-radar record called Who Saved Who back in December that is decidedly country through and through, and this Western Swing number about never giving up on the legacy of country music is one of its gems.

McKay & Leigh – “Hundred Year Old Farm House” – Speaking of under-the-radar releases from December, same goes for the self-titled record from Noel McKay and Brennen Leigh that includes all kinds of songs not to be missed, including this well-written tune.

Randall King – “Hey Cowgirl” – The now Warner Music Nashville-signed Texas country artist releases another new single ahead of his major label debut, and this one’s country with plenty of steel and fiddle. Good song.

Jessi Alexander – “Mama Drank” – Known mostly as a behind-the-scenes songwriter for others, she’s prepping the release of her newest album called Decatur County Red on March 27th. “Mama Drank” shows Jessi Alexander’s power with lyrics and twang.

Tre Burt – “Caught It From The Rye” – A potential breakout artist to keep an eye on in 2020, Tre Burt recently signed to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records and will release his debut album on January 31st.
