Newest Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#59)

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to. New songs have just been added.

Newest Additions:

Porter Union – “Loved & Lost” – The title track from this duo’s brand new album is one of the best half-time heartbreakers released in 2020 so far.

The Panhandlers – “West Texas in My Eye” – This supergroup consisting of Josh Abbott, William Clark Green, Cleto Cordero, and John Baumann started off their new self-titled debut album with one hell of a song written by Charlie Stout. This songs captures the essence of West Texas as good or better as any.

Josh Grider – “Country’s Comin’ Back” – The New Mexico-bred songwriter makes his second appearance on the playlist with this rowdy single that challenges the idea that true country music is cyclical in nature, when in truth it’s always cool to the true country fan.

Corb Lund – “Old Men” – The Canadian wordsmith has a new record called Agricultural Tragic coming out on April 24th, and “Old Men” is just the kind of song you would hope and expect Corb Lund to deliver. Young men have their value too, but as Corb proclaims, if you want something done right, seek out someone long in the tooth.

Brandy Clark – “Who You Thought I Was” – The first single from Brandy Clark’s new album Your Life is a Record, we’re still waiting to see if it will receive any traction on country radio, but it’s doing well on streaming so far.

Anna Lynch – “Do You Miss Me Yet” – This Portland-based singer and songwriter just released a sweet little EP called Apples in the Fall, and the melody and story was just too good to not include here.
