Newest Additions:

Charley Crockett – “Welcome to Hard Times” – As if the most potent strains of American roots music all rose up from the ground and intertwined into a living, breathing entity, Charley Crockett contains an unfair amount of country and blues talent, only rendered forgivable from his incredible ability to share it. This is the first song and title track from his upcoming album out July 31st.

Hill Country – “Evergreen” – This Texas music supergroup helmed by Zane Williams and Paul Eason has put out an excellent-listening self-titled album that you can just put on and let the time pass. “Evergreen” shows off a bit more of the rootsy side of this band.

Victoria Bailey – “Honky Tonk Woman” – Classic country to her core, California-based Victoria Bailey evokes visions of the signing cowgirls of the Silver Screen with the first song from her upcoming album, Jesus, Red Wine & Patsy Cline due out later this year. This is an artist to get on your radar.

Zephaniah OHora – “All American Singer” – This Brooklyn-based singer and songwriter is so damn good, he doesn’t even have to rhyme the verses to turn in an excellent song. It’s the first from his new album Listening to the Music out August 28th. (read more)

John Prine – “I Remember Everything” – The final song ever recorded by John Prine, the delicate sweetness, and poetic weight that accompanied John Prine songs for over 50 years is all evident in “I Remember Everything,” and what a way to punctuate how the most important thing in life is our memories right as Prine’s story was coming to a close.
