Newest Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#67)

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to. New songs have just been added.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Google Play will soon be fazing out and rolled into YouTube Music. The playlist will continue to be supported on Google Play for the moment, but eventually will be going away along with the service, so please make preparations.

Newest Additions:

Zephaniah OHora – “Black & Blue” – The Brooklyn-based classic country crooner pulls off the very rare playlist feat of having two songs on the playlist simultaneously, and replaces his song “All American Singer” at the top spot with his recently-released “Black & Blue.” Either song will give your serious chills like you’re listening to the ghost of Merle Haggard, and his new album Listening to the Music out August 28th is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated releases of 2020.

Charley Crockett – “Run Horse Run” – Don’t look now, but Charley Crockett may just save country music single-handedly. The second new track from his upcoming record Welcome To Hard Times out July 31st will get you motivated while giving you some major Johnny Cash vibes.

S.G. Goodman – “Space and Time” – You better not overlook this new record from this impassioned Kentucky songwriter that will probably end up on the positive side of many end-of-year lists. Immediately upon cuing up this song you’re undivided attention is earned when the bold and confident voice of S.G. Goodman comes bursting out in a watery tone indicative of classic country.

Tennessee Jet – “Stray Dogs” – The regular running buddy and co-writer with Cody Jinks is getting ready to release a new record called The Country via Thirty Tigers on September 4th, and tantalizes us with this great folk country tune perfect for a road trip.
