Newest Additions:

David Quinn – “Ride On” – David Quinn and his new album Letting Go is drawing comparisons to Mike and the Moonpies and Whitey Morgan, and if your pulse isn’t raised when former Sturgill Simpson guitar player Laur Joamets lights into the solo on this song, leave your country cred membership card behind on your way out the door.

Sierra Ferrell – “Why’d Ya Do It” – Many folks have been waiting a long while for the official debut from West Virginia Mountain Queen Sierra Ferrell, and this first official single from her that showcases much of her gypsy jazz rootsy style certainly does not disappoint.

Aaron Vance – “Take Me As I Am” – This traditional country loyalist who’s criminally overlooked has been releasing a succession of singles lately, and “Take Me As I Am” is as good place as any to get Aaron Vance on your radar.

Sturgill Simpson – “I Don’t Mind” – It’s hard picking one standout song on Sturgill’s new Cuttin’ Grass Vol. 1 reprising some of his biggest songs in bluegrass form, but a consensus has been building around “I Don’t Mind” being one of the marquee of the bunch.

The Onlies – “Diamond Joe” – This old-time band consisting of young players is not to be overlooked. Their new self-titled album is full of fetching rows and fiddle tunes, and their interpretation of the old standard “Diamond Joe” is just about perfect.

Eva Noblezada, Dale Watson – “Quietly Into the Night” – One of many great selections from the original soundtrack from the recent film Yellow Rose, actress Eva Noblezada who plays the lead role of Rose Garcia teams with Dale Watson for a stirring duet.

Charley Crockett – “Wreck Me” – Charley Crockett freshens his selection on the Top 25 Playlist with this heart-rending 50’s-feeling classic country song complete with lonesome piano, taken from his most recent record, Welcome To Hard Times.
