Old Settler’s Fest Announces 2021 Lineup

Like so many other festivals over the last 1 1/2 years, Old Settler’s fest just outside of Lockhart, TX has been attempting to hold what will be its now 34th annual installment. Normally conducted in the spring, and postponed entirely in 2020, they have finally set a date and lineup for 2021, and it’s the perfect opportunity to return to the live music experience, as well as to see some of the best talent in the country and roots realm.

Within easy driving distance of Austin and San Antonio, and set for October 21st thru 24th, the 2021 Old Settler’s lineup will include some of the best independent country women on the planet at the moment, notably Sierra Ferrell, Sarah Shook and the Disarmers, Kelsey Waldon, not to mention Bonnie Bishop, Della Mae, Carrie Rodriguez, and recent new resident to Austin, Jade Bird.

They will join bonafide legends such as Ray Wylie Hubbard, James McMurtry who just released an excellent new record, and the one and only Sam Bush. Add artists like Logan Ledger, Folk Family Revival, the Hogslop String Band, and Cedric Burnside who absolutely slays live, and Old Settler’s assembled a stellar lineup for those who know what’s up in country and roots music.

With campgrounds for both tents and RVs, more intimate listening experiences on Thursday and Sunday, and big stage shows on Friday and Saturday on a 145-acre permanent site, there’s plenty of space and options for folks to spread out and enjoy live music once again.

Old Setter’s Fest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit festival that is also kid friendly, and conducts a youth competition every year that has been a fruitful proving ground for developing talent over the years, including Sarah Jarosz and others that have gone on to become professional performers.
