It’s been over 12 years since Grand Ole Opry member and (potential) future Country Music Hall of Famer Pam Tillis released a solo studio record, but that will all be changing soon as she has announced a new deal, with a new solo record in the works. The 2nd-generation country star was one of the most successful women throughout the 90’s until radio play and her major label deals gave out. But now that 90’s country is one of the hottest commodities in the country business, she’s getting back into the game, signing with the label ONErpm.

“This week is a very exciting time for me,” says Pam Tillis. “I can finally release the album I’ve had in the works. Every album is its own little journey, and this one may be a little more winding than usual. I’ve had some of these songs in my back pocket for a long, long time.”

Pam Tillis fans haven’t been completely lost for music over the last dozen years. She’s released a few live records in that time, as well as a couple of collaborative albums with Lorrie Morgan, including Come See Me and Come Lonely in 2017, and Dos Divas in 2013, which include some Pam Tillis solo efforts as well. But you have to go all the way back to RhineStoned from 2007 to find Pam’s last proper solo album.

“We’re thrilled to be part of this project,” says ONErpm General Manager Ken Madson. “The heart, authenticity and artistry Pam brought to this album make it something very special.”

The announcement also comes as it was revealed that Pam Tillis will be part of the upcoming CMA Awards Wednesday night (11-13) as a presenter as the CMAs honor the women of country. “I was so happy to be asked to be a presenter at the CMA Awards … The fact that the CMA Awards will be a celebration of women in country makes it even more special to me.”

Pam Tillis made her Grand Ole Opry debut with her father Mel Tillis when she was eight-years-old. She later would put a career together all her own, winning three CMA Awards, including the 1994 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
