Party Down South Rap Sheet – The Cast’s List of Legal Offenses

CMT’s flagship reality series Party Down South is an abomination of Western Civilization and the single most catalyst for the erosion of Southern values and the perpetuation of negative Southern stereotypes that has ever existed, all so Viacom can rack up egregious profits off a media empire that country music created, and has since been abandoned for reality TV filth.

In just the two short seasons of Party Down South, the cast has accrued a laundry list of unlawful offenses. And no, we’re not just talking about a few trumped up pot charges and other crimes of questionable concern. We’re talking burglary, rape accusations, and one cast member is even in trouble for not using his hefty CMT salary on proper child support. “Safety concerns” also caused one of the cast members, Taylor “Lil’ Bit” Wright, to quit the show.

Here’s a list of the legal offenses of members of the Party Down South cast, at least the ones we know about at the moment.

Josh Murray – Felony Child Support Violation  (January 2015)

josh-murrayThough most of the Party Down South cast’s misdeeds get reported by entertainment websites and such, possibly the most embarrassing offense so far has gone glossed over, possibly on purpose. Even though CMT and Viacom would never admit it, stories about the criminal behavior of its Party Down South cast can be a way to promote the show as we saw when Ryan “Daddy” Richards was accused of rape (see below). But even CMT can see how this offense would sully the reputation of the cast’s fuzzy-wuzzy gentle giant.

The Louise, Mississippi native famous for getting naked at a moment’s notice on the show was incarcerated at the Humphreys County, Mississippi jail for back owed child support to the tune of $14,000, which could result in felony charges. Murray was taken into custody on January 7th, and remained incarcerated for multiple days at the Humphreys County Jail in Belzoni, Mississippi. Saving Country Music is still the only outlet to report this story.

Lyle was arrested for a second time during his Party Down South tenure on February 8th for drunk driving in New Orleans. He was arrested at 8 PM and refused a breathalyzer test. While being booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, marijuana was found on his person, resulting in both a possession charge and a charge for bringing drugs into the jail. Boudreaux was eventually released on $4,000 bond.

Murray was arrested in Rankin County, Mississippi on November 15th and charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license. He already had his license suspended from previous DUI charges. The charges could mean he could face significant jail time and have his license suspended for two years, beyond whatever eventual ramifications of his felony-level child support violations (see above).

Ryan “Daddy” Richards – Rape Investigation (April 2014)

ryan-daddy-richardsFamous for being the beer funnel toter of the eight-person cast, Richards was accused of raping a woman who partied with the cast in their Athens, GA location in April of 2014 during the taping of the 2nd season. The woman met the cast at a local bar, and then ended up in the Athens, GA house the show was taped in. The woman says she was then handed an open beer to drink, and that was the last she remembered until waking up naked in a bed under a sheet with a camera in her face.

Richards became the main suspect in the investigation that remained mostly under wraps until July 31st, 2014 when numerous celebrity and tabloid sites ran stories about the incident, and how police had found that after interviewing the cast and crew of the show, and reviewing roughly 20 hours of footage taken on the set, that they did not have the evidence to charge Richards in the case. The release of information about the case conveniently coincided with the airing of the show’s episode featuring the cast traveling to Cabo San Lucas.

Ryan Richards has not spoken about any of the specifics of the accusations because it’s “a legal matter,” but he did tell RumorFix, “The allegations were so false that I never even really lost any sleep over it to be honest with you.”

However there is evidence to the contrary of the Ryan Richards claims. The reason the case was pursued by police was because the accuser went to the hospital the day after spending the evening in the Athens, GA house, and after being examined by medical professionals, it was determined there was evidence of a sexual assault. Ryan Richards is still listed as a “suspect” in the police report, but barring further evidence or information, the case is currently closed.

The day after the rape allegations were revealed, one of the cast members Taylor “Lil’ Bit” Wright quit the show citing safety concerns and her religious beliefs. She had been in a relationship with Ryan “Daddy” Richards during the second season.

Mattie Breaux

Mattie Breaux – Drunk Driving / Warrants (May 2014)

24-year-old Mattie Breaux of Louisiana was wanted by police for a bench warrant after she failed to appear in court as part of a pretrial hearing in March of 2014. The hearing was for a previous arrest for driving while intoxicated in 2012. Breaux was taping Season 2 of the reality show at the time of the hearing.

On Party Down South, Breaux is known to have a turbulent, and at times violent alter ego named “Martha” that comes out when she drinks too much. “Martha” was a focus of one of the show’s episodes in Season 1.

lyle-boudreauxLyle Boudreaux – Burglary of a Vehicle (February 2014)

Louisiana native Lyle Boudreaux, was arrested in Maurice, LA for burglary of a vehicle. According to police, while at a Mardi Gras parade, Boudreaux found an unlocked car, rifled through a purse, and stole a credit card to fund the night’s drinking. When he went to the 2nd bar on the night and tried to start an open tab, bartenders noticed the name on the card and alerted police. The 28-year-old Party Down South star was arrested, and eventually released on $10,000 bond.
