Sarah Shook & The Disarmers Add 2019 Tour Dates
The reigning Saving Country Music Album of the Year winners Sarah Shook and the Disarmers have just added a slew of new tour dates to their 2019 itinerary. As recent attendees to Sarah Shook concerts can attest, she brings the party, and many of her recent tour dates have been selling out. She one of those artists you should see now before crowded clubs turn into sold out theaters, so you can say you saw her when instead of wishing you did.
Some of the new dates will also be with Murder By Death. Also as part of the new dates, Sarah Shook has added nine total appearances during the upcoming SXSW fracas in Austin, TX, including official showcases for Tiger Bomb and Bloodshot Records, and the always-fun Bloodshot Records Yard Dog day party on Friday, and the Brooklyn Country Cantina on Saturday.
Years by Sarah Shook has put her on the map as one of the most promising up-and-coming artists in independent country and roots music, adding a bit of a punk attitude to true country roots appreciation, and juicy melodies to brilliant and sincere songwriting.

We saw her in Morgantown a few weeks back. I thought she was great; as good as advertised. We swiped the setlist and got to hang out with her for a little. I can’t wait until she comes around again.

Do not miss these shows if they’re anywhere near you. I saw her 2 nights in a row earlier and they were the best 2 nights of my year so far. So tight and note for note perfect. We’ll break this band yet!!

You know when you’re not into someone, but a lot of people you respect are? That’s the case here, so i was hoping to check out the band live, but the closest show is about 4 hours away. Guess it’ll have to wait a bit longer.

It’s her voice. Band is solid. Lyrics are good enough. Her voice sounds like someone from NY trying to sound “country”.

I don’t fault anybody for not loving her voice, but I don’t hear it as “someone from NY trying to sound ‘country'”. Country should sound like an honest person trying to tell a story through music, which is what she accomplishes. I don’t hear her trying to sound like something she is not.
I always think of Nirvana when I hear Sarah Shook and The Disarmers. Kurt Cobain wasn’t a great singer by conventional standards but that is part of why people loved his music.

I’m with ya Cameron. I went to see her based on what was written here and left after 5 songs. she can’t sing and it ruins the rest of what’s going on with her band.

They played here in my hometown at Ashley Street Station and ripped the roof off the place!

I used to go up to that place several times a year when I lived in Jacksonville. It’s been a bummer since I moved. The Pine Box Boys used to, and I think still, play there every year and I haven’t been able to see them for a couple years now. That was a cool little venue.
