Okay all you Texas, Rocky Mountain, and West Coast Sturgill Simpson fans that were bitching you had no tour dates on the left side of the Mississippi, the Sturgill Simpson train is going to be coming your direction hard and heavy, so stretch out your ticket ordering fingers because he’s just announced a new slew of dates and many of the shows will be selling out fast.

Following up a sold-out theater tour earlier this year, Sturgill announced the first leg of the “Living The Dream” tour in mid-June covering most of the eastern U.S. and some Europeans stops. Now Sturgill will be bringing his live show out west ahead of his highly-anticipated major label release on Atlantic Records.

Included in the new dates are two appearances at the historic Ryman Auditorium on October 30th & 31st, so plan to get your trick or treat on early, appearances during both weekends of the Austin City Limits Festival in early October, and a show for lucky bastards in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 15th that will include Jason Isbell and Brandy Clark—now there’s a lineup you can’t screw with.

It was also recently announced that Sturgill Simpson has signed a publishing deal with Downtown Music Publishing, meaning the Kentucky-born songwriter is now fully vested in the industry and will be ready for a big push with his upcoming record. Downtown Music Publishing represents Old Crow Medicine Show, Rosanne Cash, and Brandy Clark among others.

You won’t want to wait until the last minute on this one because many dates will sell out.
