The 12-track album was culled down from 30 songs Jinks recorded in May with his backing band the Tonedeaf Hippies at the Sonic Ranch recording enclave in West Texas. As part of the release, Jinks has formed his own label called Late August Records with his longtime manager.

Cody Jinks has officially formed his own record label called Late August Records, and looks to be prepping the release of not one, but two new albums in late 2021—one as his latest effort in the country realm, and a long-rumored heavy metal record Cody appears to have recorded.
Cody Jinks spent the better part of May sequestered in the studio at the infamous Sonic Ranch just outside of El Paso, TX with his band the Tone Deaf Hippies, recording his next album ahead of hitting the road again with the full band after a long period away.
