Brooklyn-based alternative roots band O’Death were the unfortunate recipients of an early Halloween trick on Thursday night (10-30) when their entire tour van and trailer were stolen after their show at Los Angeles’s famous The Echo venue with Guy Blakeslee and Lonesome Leash. The band is now stranded in LA with no vehicle, no musical gear, and 17-date nationwide tour booked.
At Willie’s show on Thursday, September 19th at the Capital Theater in Port Chester, NY (a northern suburb of NYC), the small stuffed armadillo was stolen off the sound desk backstage by a woman who can be seen in low grade surveillance footage from the show. The armadillo is affectionately known as O’ Dillo, and it is the property of Aaron Foye, Willie’s monitor engineer.
Jason Isbell, former member of The Drive By Truckers and current solo artist had his van, trailer, and all contents stolen in Dallas, TX on Saturday afternoon. Jason and his band, The 400 Unit, were in Dallas Friday night, playing the city’s legendary Granada Theater on lower Greenville in support of his latest album Here We Rest.
