Texas Country’s “Music Fest” Announces 2017 Lineup

One of the most unique country music events one can experience is the annual Music Fest in Colorado. For a week in January, a ski resort in Steamboat Springs transforms into a Texas music haven, with bands and fans commandeering the slopes, stages, and accommodations in an annual gathering that sees some of the most memorable performances, and most organic collaborations.

It’s six days and five nights surrounded by mountains and music, including full band performances, stripped-down guitar pulls, and storytelling sessions that are like nothing else in the music festival landscape. Music Fest is also where many songs get written between different artist, and is just as anticipated by the performers as it is the fans.

Music Fest is not for every music fan with a passing fancy for Wade Bowen and the Turnpike Troubadours. It’s for those fans who want to immerse themselves in a musical experience that will result in memories that last a lifetime. From watching intimate acoustic performances in fireside lounges, to rollicking sets under tents outside in the crisp mountain air, Music Fest offers the right setting for the right moment.

Music Fest has just announced their initial 2017 lineup, and it is a virtual who’s who of Texas music. And with all the talk lately about the lack of ladies in Texas music, Music Fest has a fine selection of female artists to go along with the subgenre’s big male acts.

Music Fest 2017 happens January 5th through 10th, and is promoted by Dickson Productions with over 30 years of experience in the business. Each of the 50 bands and artists will turn in numerous performances over the week, and you never know who will show up on stage with someone else for an impromptu collaboration.
