The Big Opportunities Keep Coming for Kaitlin Butts

This story has been updated.

Don’t look now, but we’re gonna have to stop complaining about how how all the losers in the country music industry keep criminally overlooking Kaitlin Butts, and start recognizing that she’s finally getting the recognition she has deserved for years thanks to the strength of her 2022 album What Else Can She Do.

On July 9th, Kaitlin Butts disrupted the Boys Club at the top of Texas country by rolling into the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth dressed in a red sweetheart Western outfit and left a big impression. Butts sold some 2,000 tickets for her official headlining debut at the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk.” All those guest appearances and opening sets for others finally paid off, and now don’t be surprised if Kaitlin is in the Billy Bob’s regular rotation moving forward.

“Best night of my entire career. Cryin in my hotel room. Love y’all,” Kaitlin said afterwards.

There are few stages in Texas or beyond that are more legendary in country music than Billy Bob’s. But there is one that might edge it out ever so slightly in Nashville that you might of heard of called The Grand Ole Opry. Elusive for Kaitlin Butts up to this point in her career, with word spreading of her success at Billy Bob’s and beyond, the Opry has extended Mrs. Butts an invitation to make her official debut on November 5th.

A huge opportunity for the Oklahoma native, Kaitlin got the news the Monday after her big Billy Bob’s debut, and announced it on Monday (8-1).

And perhaps slightly less prestigious, but much more tasty, Kaitlin Butts is also the Texas Roadhouse Artist of the Month, meaning she’s being featured on monitors at the restaurant’s 637 locations, along with her song “Marfa Lights,” which has racked up over 2 million streams on Spotify alone.

Kaitlin will also be making her headliner debut in Helotes, TX at Floore’s Country Store on August 12th, and will be on tour this upcoming week in the Pacific Northwest. Better get out to see her in intimate venues when you can, because she’s not going to be Texoma music’s best kept secret for long.

And last but not least, Kaitlin Butts was recently profiled by the Texas Music Scene TV program hosted by Jack Ingram.
