The Turnpike Troubadours have canceled yet another round of shows affecting performances in late August and up to their appearance at the Medicine Stone Festival on September 21st, which is still on. Their show Thursday night (8-30) at the Beaumont Event and Concert Hall in Wayne, Nebraska was canceled Thursday afternoon, even though earlier in the day all indications were the show was still set to occur.

“We regret to announce The Turnpike Troubadours’ concert scheduled for tonight, August 30th, has been cancelled due to a medical emergency,” the venue said in a statement posted at 12:15 p.m. local time. “Ticket refunds are available from your point of purchase. We hope to have information about a rescheduled date for the concert very soon.”

Saving Country Music had checked earlier in the day to confirm Nebraska show was not canceled, and it wasn’t at that time. But subsequently all tour dates leading up to Medicine Stone in late September have been removed from Turnpike’s website, as well as on their social media feeds.

Other shows affected are the band’s show at The Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri where the Turnpike Troubadours were scheduled to appear Friday, August 31st with Shooter Jennings, and the Robinson Performance Hall in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday, September 1st, which confirmed to Saving Country Music the cancellation.

The performance at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater in Beaver Dam, Kentucky on September 2nd with Shooter Jennings and Chris Knight was also cancelled by the Turnpike Troubadours, but Shooter Jennings and Chris Knight will still be performing, with partial or full refunds being offered to ticket holders.

Thursday afternoon the Turnpike Troubadours released a statement:

To Our Fans,

We want to apologize for the past couple weeks of cancellations. We are working through some family and medical issues that have made it impossible for us to be on tour. Fortunately we have some time off over the next couple of weeks, and are looking forward to taking this time to regroup and resolve everything. We are very sorry for any disappointement and appreciate your continued support! We look forward to seeing you all very soon.

The band first canceled their final appearances on the Miranda Lambert / Little Big Town “Bandwagon Tour” August 23rd and 24th, but expressed at that time that all future shows were still on. Then they canceled their appearance at the Fayetteville Roots Festival on October 26th, citing Evan Felker’s difficulty passing kidney stones.

“The band was present and prepared to play, but after evaluation it was advised that Evan Felker should not perform tonight,” the band said. “We sincerely apologize to the fans and festival staff for this unfortunate situation.”

Saving Country Music will continue to monitor the situation for any future cancellations or updates. The band has not addressed the cancellations at this time.
