The day after the Turnpike Troubadours canceled an appearance at the Centurlink Center in Bossier City, Louisiana with Stoney LaRue last minute for undisclosed reasons, the Oklahoma-based band has now canceled a scheduled appearance in Corpus Christi, Texas at the Concrete Street Amphitheater for Saturday, October 27th. However the show will still go on.

***UPDATE: The Turnpike Troubadours Put Current Tour On Hold***

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Turnpike Troubadours will not be appearing at tonight’s concert,” Concrete Street Amphitheater posted just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday (10-27). “All tickets will be honored at the gate. If you would like to sit out the party and get a refund, refunds will begin on Tuesday at the box office.”

Co-headliners The Randy Rogers Band will still be playing, as well as Flatland Cavalry who were scheduled to open the show for the Turnpike Troubadours. Flatland Cavalry will be playing an extended set, and Steven James and the Jaded have also been added to the bill. Music is scheduled to begin at 7:00.

No explanation for the cancellation has been given by the Turnpike Troubadours or their management, nor has any explanation been given for Friday night’s cancellation in Louisiana where the venue was opened, the crowd arrived, and even the gear had been set up on stage before the announcement was given the show had been canceled, 40 minutes after music was scheduled to begin.

Saving Country Music has reached out to Turnpike Troubadours representatives for more information. As soon as additional details are made available, this story will be updated.

The cancellations come after a string of recent cancellations by the Turnpike Troubadours due to frontman Evan Felker suffering from kidney stones, and another undisclosed personal issue involving a member of the band. However the band made a triumphant return at the Medicine Stone festival in late September, and have played other shows since without issue.

The band’s next scheduled appearance is at the Athenaeum Theatre on November 1st in Columbus, Ohio.
