Turnpike Troubadours to Stream Red Rocks, Tyler Childers Reveals Shows

The Turnpike Troubadours just about instigated a national insurrection last December when tickets went on sale for their reunion show at the Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado for May 14th. Pent up demand, along with probably a few ticketing bots had tickets selling out almost immediately, and being repurposed on reseller sites for exorbitant markups.

Well if you missed out on securing your opportunity to see Turnpike at Red Rocks in person either on May 14th, or the additional show added on May 15th, you still have an opportunity to see the next best thing. Just announced, their May 14th show will be livestreamed on nugs.net with tickets available now.

As we’ve seen with other livestreamed events at Red Rocks, the production value is top quality, with multiple HD cameras and pro audio. If you missed out on not just Turnpike Red Rock tickets, but tickets to their other sold out reunion shows at Cain’s Ballroom and Billy Bob’s Texas earlier this month, or at Floore’s Country Store May 6th, or the White Oak Music Hall in Houston on May 7th, this will be your next best opportunity before they hit the road for numerous festival appearances this summer.

Shovels & Rope, and Reckless Kelly also will play the Red Rocks shows, though they may not appear on the live stream.

Also in Red Rocks news, Tyler Childers has announced that he will be headlining the venue on September 28th and 29th, about a year after last performing at the venue. Noga Ezra will open the shows, with Luna and the Mountain Jets also playing on September 28th, and Joslyn and the Sweet Compression opening September 29th.

These will be rare appearances for Tyler Childers. It was recently revealed that Tyler’s wife and fellow performer Senora May is expecting, and that he would be taking it easy in 2022. Childers will also be playing a very special set at this year’s DelFest in Maryland in May where he’ll be backed by The Travelin’ McCourys and picking bluegrass. He’ll also be playing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival on Friday, June 17th, as well as Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic.

Tyler Childers will also be participating in “An Evening With Healing Appalachia,” streaming on April 28th at 8pm ET on Mandolin. Tickets are free with a suggested donation of $10, benefiting Healing Appalachia.

Tickets for the Tyler Childers Red Rocks shows go on sale Friday, April 29th, and you can be assured the will sell out next to immediately, though there is also the possibility Tyler’s Red Rocks set will also be streamed, or at least captured in HD for posterity and future broadcast.
