Tyler Childers to Stream Sold Out Red Rocks Shows (for a fee)

Back in June, Tyler Childers broadcasted a remastered version of his September 30th, 2019 set at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, and at the end announced he would be playing the amphitheater once again in 2021 on Wednesday September 29th and Thursday the 30th, with Margo Price, Ona and John R. Miller opening on the two dates.

Tickets to the two shows sold out almost immediately. But if you still want to get in on the action, you can do so by paying into a livestream of one or both of the events via fans.live. Tickets will be $19.99 in advance, and $24.99 after the concert has commenced. Or you can purchase tickets to both nights for $34.99. Consider it country music pay-per-view. Not exactly cheap, but perhaps if you invite a few friends over or gather the family around, you can justify the cost.

The live streams will commence at 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, or 11 p.m. Eastern, but you will also be able to watch in On Demand afterwards until Sunday, October 3rd at midnight. If the quality is similar to the livestream nugs.net did during the original Tyler Childers Red Rocks concert or the rebroadcast, you can expect multiple camera angles and high quality sound, along with the majestic backdrop that is Red Rocks.

Seeing how the stream starts at 9:00 p.m. local time, it’s unlikely to include the openers. It certainly won’t replace being there in the crowd yourself, but it’s sure cheaper than flying to Denver. Tyler Childers and his band The Foodstamps should be salty at this point. Though the plan was to only play a few select festival events in 2021, Tyler Childers stepped up for Sturgill Simpson at multiple dates of the traveling Outlaw Festival recently headlined by Willie Nelson after Simpson suffered a voice issue. Tyler Childers also recently played at Farm Aid on Saturday, September 25th.
