Ashley McBryde Announces “The Devil I Know” Tour

Ashley McBryde is saving country music in the mainstream in real time, and is about to release her new album on September 8th called The Devil I Know. Despite lackluster support from radio, she’s continues to increase her fan base, and keep her foot on the pedal when it comes to touring. That’s why she’s just announced a new slew of dates she’s calling “The Devil I Know” tour, and it will criss cross the United States, and then take her to jolly ol’ England at the beginning of next year.
Even better, McBryde has tapped a cool slate of independent country/roots artists to tag along with her, including Zach Top, Bella White, JD Clayton, Kasey Tyndall, and Will Jones. Ashley didn’t go with the usual suspects of major label up-and-comers to open shows for her, but who she thinks is cool.
Ashley McBryde is the most accomplished unaccomplished artist in all of country music at the moment. In a relatively short period, she’s racked up CMA and Grammy Awards along with scores of nominations that most artists would kill for. She’s been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. She was nominated for Female Artist of the Year during the last rounds of both the CMA and ACM Awards.
But aside from her collaboration with Carly Pearce on “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” McBryde has never even had a Top 10 radio hit. She’s a critical darling that doesn’t rack up big radio hits or gaudy sales numbers, but you get the sense that she could be on the precipice of something big, especially with the release of the new album coming up.
Tour presale starts for Ashley McBryde’s “TRYBE” members starts on Wednesday, 8-8 at 10:00 AM local time. General sale tickets will go on sale Friday, Aug. 11 at 10 AM local time.

I’m in the UK so have no idea what’s played on US radio, but did they really not pick up Made For This? It’s a great radio friendly track.

Hasn’t been sent to radio yet. Hoping it will be after Light on in the Kitchen finishes up.

Currently she is the equivalent of a female Stapleton. By that I mean charting her own path and racking up awards, plus receiving postive critical reviews, without much help on the radio. I cannot speak to her crowds at her performances, as I simply do not know, but I assume they are growing by the minute.
Radio’s continued neglect of her is criminal. She may not show the leg that other female artists do, and that seems to be required for radio, but she can sing the pants off any song. Pun intended. She may not come across as “marketable” as the current crop, or crap, of blond bombshells, but she will hair-scorch with a song if she’s a mind to.
Here’s hoping she stays true to herself. So far, so good.

I dont listen to main stream country radio, is she played on those stations at all?
I think she will be one of those artists that will do will despite main stream support.
Look forward to the new album.

I would put “Girl Going Nowhere” up against any country album (independent or otherwise) released in the last 10 years. It is a masterpiece and based on the singles released “The Devil I Know” is shaping up to be another fantastic addition to her legacy. “Never Will” just doesn’t grab me the way “Girl” does. I’ve damn near worn the grooves of that record. Ashley and Lainey are the ladies that are absolutely Saving Country Music right now as it appears Morgan Wade is heading in a different direction with her upcoming album based on her singles.

Thought I was done buying concert tickets for the year, but here I am buying more. Love Ashley. Can’t wait to see her live again.

“Light On In The Kitchen” should be a smash.

Off to a decent start. Maybe it will be like Til You Can’t which took Cody Johnson mainstream without selling him out.

In the Worth, Tx area we have some radio stations that we call Texas Red Dirt. They play her music. 95.9 The Ranch. Technically they don’t play main stream but if you start out on their station they will play. Love Love Love Ashley McBryde.

Zach Top opening is an awesome billing. That kid is legit and will be a torch bearer in the future.

Saw her a few years back at C2C and she was the standout – and had only got better when she returned, but higher up the bill. Great voice and came across as genuine and likeable. I get the Stapleton comparison too.

I just saw her recently in concert with Cody Johnson and Randall King and I must say that she was made for this. Her voices cuts through and is flawless live. She’s an entertainer, through and through. I’m bummed that for her The Devil I Know Tour there are no shows in the Western U.S. she just toured the west, but how’d I love to hear her new album live. I’m hoping she adds some more shows.

To me this is southern rock. Why does southern rock get lumped in with country western? It’s not very closely related IMO.
