Can we put a helmet-cam on you and watch live via SCM? I will so be living vicariously through you for the next four days.
Have fun!
March 16, 2011 @ 10:57 am
Maybe I’ll wear a helmet anyways. Might help me land some handicapped parking spaces in this mess 😉
March 16, 2011 @ 5:57 pm
Ooohhh that’s a great idea!
March 16, 2011 @ 9:26 am
Make sure to find me at the Hellbound Glory show. I will have something special to give you!
March 16, 2011 @ 11:15 am
Intriguing.
But it will probably be easier for you to find me. I’ll be the cat in the hat.
March 16, 2011 @ 11:59 am
I will look for you. I will be the girl selling merch and taking pictures of Hellbound Glory. You will like what I have for you!
March 16, 2011 @ 9:38 am
Keep up the good work Triggerman. There’s still plenty of us who appreciate what you do. Have a blast this week!
March 16, 2011 @ 9:53 am
good to hang a bit yesterday man. I’m over the chaos of SXSW, but, we’re gonna hammer it out and have a good time. The one thing I wanted to try was to make the Hellbound Glory show–but, we’re playing at the same time elsewhere.
Cheers!
March 16, 2011 @ 9:55 am
I can tell ya now, you aint makin it to Otis Gibbs.
March 16, 2011 @ 10:56 am
Watch me. I have special abilities nobody knows about when it comes to catching music.
March 16, 2011 @ 4:24 pm
When I was reading your schedule I was thinking I hope you packed a unicycle in your backback this year. Now that would be a nifty was to get around. You could even sell advertising to display on it. How’s the weather there? As lovely as last year I hope.
PS I don’t think many people will be bothering you this year as they don’t know what you look like. I only knew as there was just one photo up on your site previously which made it easy to stalk you.
March 16, 2011 @ 9:38 pm
Slim Cessna finished up at 9:52, which gave me a good amount of time to get to Otis. I missed the first couple songs, but the problem was they cut him off at 10:40. Lame. It was an official SXSW deal, which I try to avoid at all cost. They weren’t even going to let me in the door, but I have a way of finding my way into places.
March 17, 2011 @ 1:53 am
You do! I saw you shamelessly use your body to get into a few gigs last year too.
March 17, 2011 @ 9:15 am
Triggerman! Prostituting yourself out for concert tickets again. Shameless!
March 16, 2011 @ 10:10 am
Stay fearless my friend. Now, I just don’t want you rubbin’ this here stuff in my face no more!
It’s unfair I tell you! Unfair!
March 16, 2011 @ 11:38 am
And thats why he is Triggerman…..
March 16, 2011 @ 12:10 pm
Hanging out with Hayes Carll on the couch at the back of The Swan Dive, listening to Jessica Lea Mayfield. Yeah, I’m bragging bitches!
March 16, 2011 @ 12:51 pm
Hey. Just gotta let you know . . . Colt Ford feat. Jamey Johnson Cold Beer. Jus’ sayin’.
March 16, 2011 @ 1:43 pm
SXSW is on my bucket list. I’m gonna make it out there one year.
March 16, 2011 @ 3:51 pm
Drink a case of Lone Stars for me, that’s all I ask.
March 16, 2011 @ 4:42 pm
Im still surprised JTE will not be there..
March 16, 2011 @ 8:37 pm
He has somewhere better to be: Australia and New Zealand 🙂
He tweated earlier:
“So glad I am not in Austin TX right now! I am am pool side Fitzroy Melbourne AUS. Fuck yea!”
March 16, 2011 @ 9:41 pm
He was kind of a headliner last year, if you can have a headliner when 8,000 bands are playing (literally). He played some of the main stages and stuff, and said in interviews he didn’t think he’d be back, that he would give room for the “up and comers”. He also wrecked a car during SXSW last year, and that is where I first saw him messed up, and where I first heard rumors. He may have some bad memories, which SXSW can do to some.
March 17, 2011 @ 1:58 am
He wrecked a car? Sheesh, you were very discreet. Clearly you knew quite a bit of stuff that you didn’t let on about, I admire that about you.
JTE tweeted 3 hours ago (from Australia): “just got my ribs tattooed! it hurt real good like! and yes i would rather get my ribs tattooed than be at SXSW”.
Yep, think you are right. Clearly he’d rather be elsewhere. It’s probably great for him and his sobriety he is ‘elsewhere’ right now 🙂
March 16, 2011 @ 6:00 pm
Holy crap Trig! You are going to be exhausted by Sunday! Happy, but exhausted! Have fun….
March 16, 2011 @ 9:39 pm
Holy crap. I’m exhausted right now!
March 17, 2011 @ 9:28 am
Thanks for the schedule Kyle.. The only thing that is holding us back to going to SXSW is driving and finding a place to park. Is it as crazy as everyone says it will be?
March 17, 2011 @ 9:50 am
Gina,
If you came down to the south Congress area on Friday, let’s say for the Bloodshot Records Yard Dog party, you will be fine. Yes, it will probably be a little hard to find a parking spot and you may have to walk a little, but it would not be like trying to park downtown on Saturday. And the earlier you get there, probably the better. Downtown is where the madness can be unbearable. South Congress can be bad too after 5 PM on Friday, but before then, I think you’ll be fine. Having said that, I swear yesterday there were twice as many people downtown as there was Wednesday last year.
March 17, 2011 @ 12:27 pm
Just found this article and thought they sounded flash, then saw you were gonna check ’em out! How were they?

March 17, 2011 @ 12:33 pm
Okay, this is spooky. I just saw a photo of Brett Amaker and the Rodeo and realised I met two of the guys at Ginny’s Little Long Horn Saloon last year. I got a photo of them in their get up, it’s on my SXSW 2010 page. I thought were mormons or something.
March 17, 2011 @ 1:11 pm
Didn’t make it. After 12 straight hours yesterday, I’m beat. Had to take the morning off or I was not going to make it to Saturday. I have another chance to catch them if everything works out.
March 17, 2011 @ 3:33 pm
I hear ya, I realised last year I’m a bit too old for a festival that huge, crowded and long! I missed a bunch of bands I was keen to see. Take care, get lots of sleep and pop some vitamins maybe? The best thing about where you live is you will get to see lots of the bands at a later date anyway, Biram for example?
March 20, 2011 @ 3:55 pm
So when is the review for this coming? Or do you need to sleep for a few days to recover? 🙂
March 20, 2011 @ 11:26 pm
Nikki, I am going to try and post a SXSW summary soon, and then I may do some specific reviews of bands beyond that. I also got 6 interviews that I will be posting and transcribing over the coming weeks. Also have some video. It is going to take time, and the Ralph Moody passing has delayed me a bit.
