Whitey Morgan & Cody Jinks Embark on Hard-Driving Co-Headline Tour
If you’re wondering where the hell all the real country music has gone, it has joined forces and is headed towards a venue near you. Texas country singer songwriter Cody Jinks, and throwback honky tonk badass Whitey Morgan have embarked on a co-headlining tour set to roll through Texas, the South, up the eastern seaboard and into the Midwest as part of a push ahead of Cody Jinks’ upcoming album I’m Not The Devil due August 12th through Thirty Tigers.
Cody and Whitey met up a the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas honky tonk in Jinks’ hometown of Ft. Worth on Saturday (8-6) to perform for a raucous, packed house. Now they’ll be heading down to Waco, TX and The Backyard on the day of Cody’s album release.
The pair has toured together before (they share the same management), and make for the perfect combination for those looking for a night of hard country and heartfelt songs of heartbreak, sin, and redemption.

But seriously, if you bitch about the lack of real country out there, then do something about it and to go to a WM and the 78’s show.

Easily the best country music out there right now…period. These guys get it, they stay true and consistent and work their rears off. If you pass on going to these shows, you deserve what you get.

I bought tickets for both the Athens and Atlanta shows. Buddy just moved to Atlanta and we are flying down for a weekend of honky tonk debauchery. It will be hard on the liver but great for the soul. Can’t wait!!

I saw WM last year in Charlotte with my brother. We agreed that it was probably the best show that we’ve ever experienced, and we’ve seen some of the greats. I was enthralled for every second. We will obviously be seeing them again in September!

I’ll be in Boston.
Paradise is a cool place too.
Seen a bunch of shows there.
Saw Sturgill when he played there, coldest day of the year in February.
I can only imagine what him and his band thought of that nite.
That’s when the trains and road lanes and everything were closed because of the snow..
HA!

Had the opportunity to see them in Utah. Truly is a concert everyone who loves real country music should go and see. Even meet Cody after the show. One of the nicest guys I have ever met.

False. It is not heading to a venue near me. Nothing out West at all!
They did swing by Denver in May, and I made the trip down from Wyoming. Both of them are incredible.

I’m hopeful that more dates get added to their tour, too! A Pittsburgh tour top would be nice but it’s nice they have a date in Philadelphia. Trigger, if possible, would you be able to post a review on one of their shows? Or perhaps someone who sees them can? I’m sure we’d all love to read about it. Thanks!

Cody Jinks new album is outstanding. Along with new releases in August from Kelsey Waldon and Chelle Rose, It looks like real country music is alive and well. Trigger deserves a lot of credit for writing about these and many other fine artist who are really saving country music.

I don’t know who’s running the Hagerstown festival, but props to them. We don’t often get genuine-article country music artists in this region. Hope a lot of converts are made on September 24. See you there.
