Drake Milligan & Band Injured in Vehicle Accident

Drake Milligan was one of the most anticipated artists to play the massive Two Step Inn Festival last weekend in Georgetown, TX. But when it came time for him to take the stage, there was no Drake Milligan to be found, with a last minute announcement that the singer was forced to cancel. Now we know why, and it’s a legitimate excuse.

While traveling from Fort Worth where Milligan and his band had performed on April 15th at Billy Bob’s Texas, their van experienced a flat tire, which sent them crashing into a concrete median. Milligan and multiple members of his band were injured during the crash and treated at a local hospital. Milligan and all the other members of the band have since been released.

Mark Bogart of MB Ranch King Hunting Blinds ponied up a private plane to get Milligan’s band back to Nashville, and Two Step Inn sent a truck to pick up all of all of Milligan’s gear.

“Thank you to the fine folks with the Two Step Inn festival who immediately sent a truck to us to put all of our gear in. Lots to be grateful for! We’re gonna rest up, see y’all at Stagecoach Festival real soon!” Milligan said. He’s set to play the Indio, California festival on April 28th.

Drake Milligan starred as Elvis on CMT’s Sun Records series from 2017, and released a well-received EP in 2021 via Broken Bow Records. Then in 2022, Milligan participated in America’s Got Talent, making to the finals, and then released his debut album Dallas/ Fort Worth to coincide with the finale. Milligan co-wrote every one of the 14 songs on the album that also features guest appearances from Vince Gill and James Burton.

With a neotraditional sound and an Elvis swagger, Drake Milligan been one of the most promising up-and-comers in true country music.
