Cody Jinks to Open Select Lynyrd Skynyrd Farewell Tour Dates
Cody Jinks continues to be rewarded with bigger opportunities. The legendary Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd (or what’s left of it) has just tapped the Ft. Worth native to open select shows in a new round of dates just announced as part of their farewell tour. Along with Bad Company and Hank Williams Jr., Cody Jinks will offer support on the latest leg of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Street Survivors Farewell Tour, with two dates in Mississippi, and dates in Georgia and Alabama. These will be some of the biggest crowds Cody Jinks has played for in his career. “Honored and very much looking forward to it,” Jinks said about the opportunity.
Along with the Lynyrd Skynyrd dates, Cody Jinks has also been trickling out his own headliner tour dates for 2019. He will be in Florida for much of February, and has announced multiple other dates taking him into the summer. All of the new dates for the Lynyrd Skynyrd farewell tour, as well as the full tour dates for Cody Jinks can be found below.
Cody Jinks is one of multiple independently-minded country artists re-writing the script on what is possible for a performer without mainstream radio support. His Rounder Records debut Lifers released in 2018 went #2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and Cody regularly sells out venues across the country.

Yes, I am aware of my username and profile pic, but I’d honestly rather see Cody than Skynyrd these days

I saw these new dates today, still patiently waiting for him to “trickle” his ass to the Windy City. March 21 the day before Madison, WI will work just fine!! C’mon you guys don’t make me drive 2 hours. 🙁 I saw the real Skynyrd here in 1976 on the Gimme Back My Bullets tour but if they came here with Cody I’d still go. Always liked Rickey Medlocke. I think it’s great for Cody to play for all those faces that haven’t heard of him.

I’m with you. He hasn’t been to Chicago in a couple years. Last time was at Thalia Hall I believe. He’s been to Peoria and Springfield, but not Chicago.

He also just announced he’s playing Red Rocks in July. I hope to finally see him with The Steel Woods next month.

fella can’t do any wrong…..there’s a lot of great talent out there, but for me, he’s been the most relatable over the years…..wife and i have been fortunate to catch CJ is some dive bar size venues and on up since….the kid and his cousins’ first concert was to see him…..he’s always a class act…….and the news yesterday!….that he’s playing red rocks!…..that trip’s been a bucket list dream act…..we booked a flight and place to rest already!

My question is… does anyone know Cody’s setlist with Skynyrd? He is the reason why we are going, but want to make sure the trip is worth it. Anyone know?!
